Forums - Sales Discussion - Recore only sold 56,733 units in its first week.

Sad state of affairs for a new IP. Wish at least some of these new IPs would produce decent sales. Hope it has legs, though I'm having doubts as of now.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

In order for new IPs to produce decent sales, it must have great reviews. ReCore didnt so...

Its reviews were too harsh, especially for a $40 game. It was treated as if it had launched at $60, and unfairly so.

I honestly dont think reviewers give scores based on costs. Not sure if they should either.

Its up to the consumer if they want to buy a game at certain costs.

I can't speak to this, but definitely read reviews where they discuss value so a short game is forgiven because it is $15, while at $60 that brevity would have hurt the score.

Well it got a trial that lets you play a part of the game now, I am sure some people will enjoy it. Then again 40 bucks for this or 60 bucks for any of those other games releasing that are so good;..

Our internal figures are probably WAY off. It had to have sold better than that

Yeah sometimes they subtrack in score, if the game is priced high but its too short.

Thats kinda questionable too imo, price shouldnt factor into it.

That said I think its perfectly fine to point out that its a short game to people that read the review and are planning on buying it.

No surprise. Microsoft completely ignored that game. No ads.
