Forums - Politics Discussion - DNC take down of Trump

Well, he built his campaign with lies and hyperbole, seems only fair for his campaign to be destroyed by emotional political rhetoric.

Also heard that the RNC pulled out their funds from him, so probably no more ads unless he wants to spend hundreds of millions(if he even has that kind of money) so he is probably done now.

As someone who has lived in several European countries and China, I couldn't agree more. But hyperbole is so common that this doesn't surprise me one bit.

You gotta be kidding me if you are (1)suggesting that people live better on USA than on (2)Europe, sure some places on the country are better than some places of Europe, but several European countries are above USA (3)in every sense that it matters to a citizien, from (4)social servers to level of happiness. Modern USA is one of the most overrated places to live (5)ever, (6)only really good for the rich, bigger houses don't make it a better country to live.

The irony is strong with this one. So strong it's not even funny.

1. I'm not suggesting, I'm outright saying that in several European countries life is much worse than in America. Have you lived in Greece? Albania? Serbia? Bulgaria? Cyprus?

2. Read what I wrote again instead of what you imagined I did. "several European countries". Not all.

3. That's vague as hell. Wanna be more specific? How are LGBT rights? How is the job market? I'm gonna let you on a little secret: what matters to you may not matter to another citizen.

4. Not sure what social servers are, but wanna back up that claim about "level of happiness"? A couple of sources will do.

5. Define ever. So, was America a few centuries ago without modern medicine and human rights better? Was it better when there were slaves and black and gay people were getting murdered while most people didn't give a damn? (same with the rest of the world and basic human rights). Le'ts be real.

6. I'm gonna inform all my American friends who are not rich that they are mistaken about being happy. Apparently, they aren't. How anyone can be this misinformed is beyond me.

I get that not everywhere is the same. Eg. liveing in northern/central europe is probably more fun than say Albania or serbia ect.

That much is pretty true.

How are LGBT rights? in denmark? there pretty great, I think we where resently voted as one of the best places in the world to live as a "gay" person.

Jobmarket? I think its fine? I dont know.

Social services & happyness levels? denmark is often amoung the most happy places in the world by populace. Social services are also pretty great.

http://www.sciencealert.com/the-world-happiness-index-2016-just-ranked-the-happiest-countries-on-earth

7out of 10 countries in the top10 are a part of europe. (the 3 others are australia, new zealand, canada)

Europe isnt nearly as bad as some seem to make it out to be.

How long did you live in the United States and how many different States did you live in?

I dont think any of his supporters care. We know who he was and is and its fine. We are for him for what he wants to do with america, and because he is blunt and upfront. Hasn't lied or try to weasel out of this like bill and hillary do. Speaks volumes on the difference between a career politician and a normal person. Besides who trusts the media any more? would of been far more strategic if the dems havent been playing and abusing the media so much that americans have lost faith in all media. May even back fire more as people see how the media is so one sided in covering trump fails vs bill and hillary fails. This election may be the begining of the end of the liberal bias through out the news and media in america. Thats bad for dems. with out their support in spinning stories and views people will see them for what they are, closet bigots, who want to control what you do in every day life

He lies constantly and has no principals whatsoever other than doing whatever it takes to feed his narcissistic ego. Being "blunt" doesn't mean much when all his policy positions are stupid and not well thought out to begin with. Is Mexico gonna pay for that wall for example? Nope. Think logically for even ten seconds here and ask yourself if that makes sense. It's bullshit, all part of his "marketing" to oversell everything he does (I'm big, I'm the best, I'm yyyhhhuge, blah, blah, blah).

If anything any other candidate would've been sunk months ago saying half the stuff Trump does, insulting a Gold Star family, insulting John McCain for being a prisoner of war, lying about Obama's birth certificate and now back pedalling off that position, etc. etc. etc., if anything the media has been soft on him because of "entertainment" value. Any other candidate would've had their political career over a long time ago if they tried pulling half this crap. The leaked video is just something even he is finally having a hard time spinning out of. You can only insult so many people before things catch up to you.

I think Trump can negotiate some kind of deal there. Mexico can have a nice northern wall to match their southern wall

Since that is the only policy you brought up its all I can respond too.

Seems dems can only spout off about stuff not related to running the country. Let me lnow when you have problems with his policies, not his character. Because I mean really if we are going off character, Hillary and Trump are in a tie running to the bottom, but at least one has done it on his own dime and not as a politician.

They are not "equal" in character in my eyes, Clinton has given 30+ years of her life to public service, served as a state senator, served as a two term first lady under what I think most Americans would consider a prosperous presidency, marched in the civil rights movement, etc. etc. In reality I think she is one of the most experienced people to ever run for the office. Trump is maybe the most morally bankrupt person to ever run for the presidency.

It's hard to debate Trump's "policy" positions because most of it is bullshit which he will flip flop on. Case in point, he whines about China this, China that, trade deficet this and that (something he's been parroting since the 1980s by the way, only then he was blaming Japan).

Of course America has a trade deficet with other countries. They consume more goods than anyone else in the world because they are the largest consumer market. The average Chinese household doesn't have 2-3 cars, 3-4 TVs, washer/dryer, and a mountain full of other shit. Most average Chinese people are working just to have food on the table. Of course we are going to have a trade deficet with them, they work themselves to death for pennies on the dollar so we can buy a bunch of cheap crap to feel happy about ourselves for 10 minutes. This is the part Trump won't tell you because it doesn't sound so good.

Personally too I think the "she's a politican" line is so incredibly stupid. What exactly do you think the person nominated is going to be doing? They are going into the world of POLITICS. Hate to break it to people, but that's the reality of it. It's like saying you don't like your soccer team so you're going to have basketball players play instead ... well yeah, lets see how that goes when they have to play soccer.

I understand there is frustration against the "system", but Trump is the (very) wrong answer to the right question.

People are mostly worried about how she's compromised national security and knowingly allowed soldiers to die.

But, you know, Trump says mean things, right?
