Forums - Gaming Discussion - Anyone else missing boxing games? Like where are they?

Definitely, I can't understand why a Fight Night hasn't been released for the current gen. the game sells well.

The only boxing games I've ever played are the Punch-Out games. I wouldn't mind another one! Work on it, NLG!

Id LOVE! if EA made a new Fight Night. I was ranked 5th in the world and 1st in ireland online at that game loved it.

That is really cool. I loved fight night round 3 when it was coming out on the then fresh 7th gem consoles, I remember being stunned at how next gen the graphics looked for the time.

I would love to see a new Punch-Out!! from Nintendo and Next Level Games. Especially with new opponents, since in the Wii game, we fought all the classics essentially twice. There have only been five Punch-Out!! games ever made, three before 1988. How about a Punch-Out!! for the 3DS? Or if it's too late for the Wii U, the NX? I hope it happens.

I also wouldn't mind a new Fight Night. Although Punch-Out!! is one of my favorite games, Fight Night is really good as a real boxing simulator. I'd get both!

Hopefully they happen.

UFC and MMA are the new cool thing nowadays. Boxing is for old people.

Good old boxing > all the new stuff. Boxing is art, UFC is just nasty streetfighting.

It's not. There are still lots of rules with UFC

There are no rules in a streetfight.

Love me some Punch Out!

The Fight Night series was amazing, but unfortunately it just didn't sell enough to justify current gen releases.

As others have already stated, UFC/MMA has gained in popularity and justifies development costs with decent sale, something a new boxing title may not reflect.

fight night and UFC have always sold on par. About 1.5 million each. I just dont thin EA wants to be in competetion with itself

Super Punch-out was the last boxing game I really enjoyed. Nowadays it just doesn't appeal to me.
