Take with a grain of salt but youtube user Boogie2988(Francis) was at Retropalooza on Oct 4th and has stated hes talked to two people that have access and have played on NX. One of them being someome from Ubisoft

He says that Nintendo has been working closely with Ubisfot on the NX and Ubisoft thinks its easy to program for and like its concept.

Then Boogie explains the concept,which he says ''you can take the handheld and hook it up to your console'' and then when you're done,disconnect it and take the handheld on the go with you

That sounds like both Eurogamers rumor and the ''two console'' rumors of Handheld + Home Console rolled into one.

well seems to sway more so towards confirming the two console idea rather than Euogamers one device they said it was.  If what he said was accurate 

That basically confirmed hybrid theory.

Every game will have "2 modes" to play in, a mobile one when the tablet is detached, and one when its plugged in.

Thats probably done to conserve energy.
So resolution scales down when its not plugged in, and it probably downclocks ect.

Sounds like the two console rumor. Now its going to be interesting to see who powers the home comsole, AMD or Nvidia and how powerful it is. The power is gonna determine how far this console goes.

I don't really agree with that. Aside from the fact almost every gen has been won by a console that's not the strongest  (PS1, PS2, Wii, GB, DS, 3DS), it's the content the key factor here. That and advertisement, Nintendo needs to explain as nice and simple this concept as they possibly can.

They simply cant afford to repeat Wii U's mistakes of releasing an under powered console that cant run third party games. It has to be PS4 level or bust imo

If they want Japanese third party support it's by far better to make a handheld/hybrid. And for a handheld it's pretty much as powerful as it can be (if the rumours are true) without being too expensive, have low battery life or being unprofitable.

What western third party games do they need? Stuff like Call of Duty and Fifa always sold like shit on Nintendo hardware.

Sounds like a table that overclocks (or just runs full speed) when its docked (and thus can draw power from a cord), and when you take it out of the dock, it downclocks to save power.

It doesnt sound like 2 devices, it sounds like 1, that does 2 things.

Each and every game nintendo makes will have 2 modes, portable mode & docked mode.

Kinda like how PS4 games have a normal mode + PS4pro mode.
