Styles-Nakamura was very underwhelming. Was expecting more.

Ha! He picks a kid and still wins.

I thought Styles-Nakamura was really good, but the card has felt a little backwards. IMO,
1. Rousey vs Triple H (with Steph and Angle)
2. Asuka vs Charlotte
3. Balor, Miz, Rollins

Ha! They pulled the wool over everyone's eyes with the Lesnar vs Reigns match.
That blade was the most gruesome thing I've seen since Undertaker No Mercy 2002 or 2003 (forget).

This is the worst I've ever done on predictions. Like 3 out of 15.

Id rank them all now, but I am only on my phone and far too drunk. And there's daylight.

Surprising amount of colour this Wrestlemania considering the so-called no blood policy.

Eddie-JBL at Judgment Day 2004 is by far the worst blade job I can remember.

Mania was great. One of my favorite. Ending was weak but i was surprised with Lesnar winning.

Haha, I wasn't alone in finding this to be the most unpredictable Wrestlemania ever, all the experts got it almost all wrong too:

Seems the only ones that people seemed to get was Ronda Rousey, Cedric Alexander, and Braun Strowman, and about half got Undertaker; every other match was mostly to nearly all wrong.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

1 - Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Winner - Matt Hardy
My prediction - Dolph Ziggler
My Score - 4/10

Nothing really happened here of note. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. I did love the ending, but the rest of the match was something of a chore. Not a great start, but the pre-show is never great.

2 - Cruiserweight Championship; Cedric Alexander vs Mustafa Ali

Winner - Cedric Alexander
My Prediction - Cedrix Alexander
My score - 5/10

This match was fine. The action was decent, but I didn't find myself caring all that much. Overall a pretty generic experience that was neither impressive nor disappointing.

3 - Women's Wrestlemania Battle Royal

Winner - Naomi
My Prediction - Becky Lynch
My Score - 3/10

Honestly pretty boring. No stories were told outside of maybe ten seconds of Bayley vs Sasha (What a waste, I love those two's chemistry), it went to fast, I didn't even recognize 1/3 of the roster, and I hate the 'you thought you won but nope someone else was sitting the whole match out just to mess with you' cliches. Not fun, and while I like Naomi, it should have gone to Becky Lynch, Bayley, or Sasha Banks. The fact that Lynch was tossed to no fanfare halfway through the match killed it for me.

4 - Triple Threat Intercontinental Championship; The Miz vs Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins

Winner - Seth Rollins
My Prediction - Seth Rollins
My Score - 8/10

Great start to the main card. Lots of fast and fun action, some creative spots, a hell of a sweet bit at the end, and they gave the win to my favorite of the three and the man I predicted to win. There was some good storytelling leading up to the match with Miz telling his peeps to stay back, Loved Rollins' ice blue eyes, and while I would have preferred to see Demon Balor, the LGBT stuff was sweet and I liked it.

5 - Smackdown Women's Championship; Charlotte Flair vs Asuka

Winner - Charlotte Flair
My Prediction - Asuka
My Score - 7/10

This was a great match. Great storytelling, some amazing spots (Reversing a moonsault into a submission was brilliant), and these two ladies have great chemistry. Only thing I hated was the end. FAR too early to end Asuka's streak, and while I do agree that if anyone could do it, it's Charlotte, I really think Asuka's aura has taken a huge hit here. Call me sentimental, but Asuka was in the midst of a DAMN impressive reign that was still building, and as the first women's royal rumble winner, she deserved the championship. Not cool, but the match was good!

6 - United States Championship Fatal 4-way; Randy Orton vs Jinder Mahal vs Rusev vs Bobby Roode

Winner - Jinder Mahal
My Prediction - Rusev
My Score - 2/10

Ugh, not a fan of this one. Match was slow despite being short, not really that much of note happened outside of Rusev being awesome and Randy Orton hitting all the RKOs. Hated the ending (Seriously, Jinder was the only one I didn't want to win and was the worst outcome.) Forgettable, bland, boring.

7 - Mixed Tag Match; Kurt Angle/Ronda Rousey vs HHH/Stephanie McMahon

Winner - Kurt Angle/Ronda Rousey
My Prediction - Kurt Angle/Ronda Rousey
My Score - 9/10

Damn what a fun match this was. Sure, it wasn't the most technical and it's clear that Angle has to shake off some ring rust, but Rousey is a natural (Even if she has a lot to learn) and the storytelling was all on point. Rousey was clearly the star and will only get better from here. She was intense, hard-hitting, had a natural presence, and is a better wrestler than she is a talker. Was a lot of fun, and this match was exactly what I hoped and what it needed to be. Plenty of spots, lots of spectacle. I loved this one from top to bottom.

8 - Smackdown Tag Titles Triple Threat; The Usos vs The New Day vs The Bludgeon Brothers

Winner - The Bludgeon Brothers
My Prediction - The Bludgeon Brothers
My Score - 7/10

While I do wish that the three teams were given more time to tell a more thorough and interesting story, this is another match that did precisely what it needed to. Everyone got some offense in, everyone had their moment, and the winners were the right ones, especially after how thoroughly they were built up. I look forward to a long reign between them, which is well-deserved.

9 - John Cena vs The Undertaker

Winner - Undertaker
My Prediction - Undertaker
My Score - 8/10

So sue me, I loved this match. I honestly thought I'd hate it after the last 4 'Taker matches at mania. I loved the teases, I loved the trolling, I loved Elias' singing, I loved the stupid shit with taker's gear being 'resurrected', and I loved the sit-up counter to the 5-knuckle shuffle. This was a squash, lasting less than 3 minutes, but it was a lot of fun and a nice palate cleanser. I'd be okay with more matches like this if the buil and story are as fun.

10 - Daniel Bryan/Shane McMahon vs Sami Zayn/Kevin Owens

Winner - Daniel Bryan/Shane McMahon
My Prediction - N/A (I refused to make one because I couldn't decide)
My Score - 8/10

This match was more about story and emotion than the action, though there definitely was action. I liked how Shane tried to fight valiantly but couldn't do it, and I loved everything from the time Daniel Bryan got involved to the very end. This is the kind of match that reminds you why you love Daniel Bryan, and how he has an intensity that so few others can hope to match. Great fight, great outcome, Great story. I didn't know who was going to win because I couldn't see Bryan losing in his comeback, but I also thought it'd be dumb to send Zayn/Owens to Raw.

11 - Raw Women's Championship; Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax

Winner - Nia Jax
My Prediction - Nia Jax
My Score - 5/10

This was fine. I don't really know what to say, really. This came between a bunch of huge matches, and didn't really do much for me. No complaints really - aside from a general feeling of this whole story being immature - but no praise, either. It was a match, it happened, it was fine.

12 - WWE World Championship; AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura

Winner - AJ Styles
My Prediction - Shinsuke Nakamura
My Score - 7/10

Huge disappointment. Still a good match, but we all know both of these men can do better, and this was the perfect opportunity to go all out on each other. Honestly, I don't think either of these men are capable of having a bad match, but at the same time, this match felt slower than it had any right to be, didn't have as much cool shit happening as it could have, and seemed slow compared to what we know they can do. Still a good match, but certainly not great, and that's a massive disappointment no matter how you slice it. I expected this to be the match of the weekend.

13 - Raw Tag Team Championship; The Bar vs Braun Strowman and Nicholas

Winner - Braun Strowman and Nicholas
My Prediction - The Bar
My Score - 8/10

Again, you'll have to sue me but I loved every second of this even though it didn't last long. I figured the bar would win when Strowman's partner got pinned, but this was fun, too. But seriously, how crazy was it that Braun just goes out into the crowd and picks some kid to be his tag team partner, then does the whole match himself. Brilliant. Fun. Silly. Got the crowd popped, and I loved every bit of it no matter how dumb it can be seen as!

14 - Universal Championship; Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns

Winner - Brock Lesnar
My Prediction - Roman Reigns
My Score - 1/10

I hated this match. Absolutely hated every second of it. The only thing that keeps it from a 0 is the blood, which really made it seem intense when it wasn't. Brock Lesnar is a boring champion and I hate watching his matches, as they all consist of german suplexes, belly-to-belly suplexes, and F5's with maybe some shoulder tackles in there. I like Roman Reigns, but he has a similar problem, with a repetoire of maybe a half dozen moves. This match was slow, the outcome was wrong, and it felt so stupid and staged, I hated it.

Oh, and as an aside, why the hell would they build Roman Reigns up, having him kick out of 5 goddamn F5s, then have him lose? I hate the super Reigns idea as much as the next guy, but if you're going to build him up, make him win. At least he has room to grow and improve, Brock has already given up, as he doesn't do anything in his matches but German suplexes and F5s! Brock doesn't care about entertainment, he doesn't care about pleasing the fans, he doesn't care about putting on matches, and he doesn't care about anyone but himself, and the fact that he won annoys me.

Seriously, Brock LEsnar winning AFTER having Reigns kick out of 5 consecutive F5s shows that WWE is still going all-in on this hack of a has-been, which means he's gonna be dominating the Universal Title picture for the forseeable future, which means I will not care about that title scene for the forseeable future.

Roman Reigns cares. Roman Reigns CAN be fun when he's not being pushed to the moon. Roman Reigns can and will get better in time. Brock Lesnar has already checked out and has not a single fuck left to give, and it shows.

Honest question, in the 16 minutes of this match, how many moves were there? Spear, F5, German Suplex, Belly-to-belly suplex, superman punch, some elbows and punches, and a toss into the barricade.

Garbage.

But the blood spot was pretty intense. That made me pay attention.

Dear WWE: Stop trying to make Roman and/or Brock happen.

I'm going to rate them based on what I liked and didn't like. I have never been good with nuanced number scores. So I am going to put a "+" beside the matches I liked, and a "-" beside the ones I either didn't like or didn't care for. I'll let my summaries speak for how I enjoyed them; although keep in mind if I put a bunch of negative stuff beside a match I still gave a +, it means it probably didn't matter much too me.

+Battle Royale 1 - I liked Matt Hardy winning the men's, and the whole "Who are you!" thing with Dillinger got me laughing.
+ Battle Royale 2 - Both good opening filler. I liked Naomi winning the women's, even though my pick was Sasha.

-Cruiser Weight Title Match - I don't think anyone knew who these guys were, and neither did I, plus in the European broadcast, they started putting ads up in the middle of things which was crap production. It looked like it was a special moment for both these guys, so I almost wish they actually told us what this match was all about beforehand.

+IC title match - on the downside, Balor didn't come out as the demon, he came out another way instead. Overall, a great match, I didn't want to see Seth Rollins win; I recognize this guy is good in the ring, but I couldn't seem to care about this guy. Neither took much away from the match for me, so I was quite happy with it, and thoroughly entertained.

+ Women's Title vs. Streak - This match REALLY should have been the second last one of the night, it had it all, great entrance, both of them looked like they were hammering each other with their moves. One of the best women's matches I have ever seen (I'll have to re-watch that Ember Moon vs. Asuka match from last year, that's the match that kind of got me re-interested in pro-wrestling). There's nothing bad I can say about this match, the ending REALLY surprised me, But the truth of it is, if Charlotte wasn't going to end the streak here, then it was going to be Rousey down the road. I for one look forward to a bit rivalry between Rousey and Asuka this year, and then a 4 Horsewomen vs 4 Horsewomen feud, with Charlotte Flair and Rousey to HEADLINE Wrestlemania next year. Anyway, I thought this match was going to be my favourite of the night, I need some time to rest on it to confirm: on a whim, it's already one of my favourites of all time.

+US Championship - Like 95% of everyone else, I was going for Rusev in this one, and again (like another 10/13 picks of the night) I was wrong! This match was a bit of a rest after the last one which got really intense. Still, I found a good solid match which is better than most Wrestlemania matches I've seen over the last week.

+Rousey - Now THIS match was the show stealer, and I haven't seen a crowd this wild since maybe Hogan vs. Rock - and like that match, it totally murdered the crowd for most of the rest of the night. Ronda Rousey had Chris Benoit-like agility, and her strength was also impressive.I think if the WWE needs another Hogan-calibre star, they have it, and they have built a fantastic women's division at the right time. The build-up at the beginning was great, it reminded me of those old Attitude era matches when Mankind kept getting beaten, and everyone wanted to see the Rock charge in and kick the crap out of everyone - except maybe even bigger than that; and she's got more moves than the Rock too. Triple H (who IMO is a good character, but not a good wrestler, I generally dislike all of his matches), Angle who looks like he shouldn't be in any match, Stephanie, and a newbie - and they BLEW the top off the arena! I don't know where it fits, but this one is already somewhere in my Top 10 Wrestlemania matches of all time! There's a sense of a new era dawning after this match. Ronda will headline Wrestlemania 35, and it will be one of the best main events of all time.

+Bludgeon Brothers Tag Champions - I didn't mention it before, but I got the Rousey match correct, and this was the second match I got correct. I like these characters a lot, and I understand the shorter match and the previews are largely to let the crowd rest up a bit... and boy they needed it! There was no way these guys were going to follow Rousey. And yeah, it had a very Jericho vs. Triple H following Rock and Hogan feel to it. But overall, I enjoyed it, I always enjoy seeing these teams. Although, if a match was going to be bloody as hell, this was the opportunity! All in all, this one could have gone longer, these teams are capable of it. I still enjoyed it.

+ Cena as a fan - I thought this was a really entertaining sort of framework through Wrestlemania, I would have loved the story to run through more of the show.

-Undertaker vs. John Cena - Meh, I'm not really a fan of the UndeadTaker. I'm one of the few people who much preferred his "Taker" Biker Bully gimmick significantly more. I didn't mind Cena getting stomped, but would have MUCH preferred Taker the badass. I thought the other gimmick was given a good death last year, and didn't need to come back.

+Daniel Bryan and Shane vs. Owens and Zane - Coast to Coast spot was good, Shane has a tremendous balance to hit that from standing on the rope. I was, again, surprised by the ending.

-Nia Jax vs. Alexa Bliss - I love Alexa Bliss, and didn't get this match at all. It was relaly late at this point, but honestly, I can't remember it.

+ AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura - first off, this match was roughly HALF the length it should have been. It felt like it was capped off early, and given who was in the ring, it should have had a bigger finish than the Styles Clash - I am not very familiar with AJ Styles, I thought he did a 450 splash as his finisher? That move looked kind of weak. Overall the match was fairly good, and I loved the heel turn at the end; which I felt kind of overshadowed the match itself. I look forward to seeing more of both these guys going forward; this match seemed more like a story setup than a story culmination.

-Braun Strowman vs. buried people - Come on! Cesaro didn't deserve this! =P I understand this match was meant to be a bit of a farcical joke, and I am fine with those, but the penultimate match of one of the most stacked Wrestlemanias in history? Strowman's most entertaining matches recently have been the mixed-match challenges, IMO, this fell short of those. This might have been a + if they traded slots with Rousey match, or the Asuka match.

+Reigns vs. Lesnar - the crowd chanted "this is awful" but for my part, I kind of enjoyed this match. it did have a lot of repetition, there were something like 15 "finishers" delivered, and it had a bit of Rock vs. Austin Retirement match feel to it - a big match where they kind of did the same thing. But I found the deliberate BRUTAL cut and finish to make the match for me. There's disagreement as to whether Brock cut him with a strike, or whether he bladed - Reigns swiped his forehead just before he started gushing, so IMO he bladed. Again, like NXT, so much for the "no blood" policy. Asuka vs. Charlotte bled too, but that was clearly from the physicality of the match, while this one not so clear. I thought the crowd reaction kind of spoiled this match. Maybe it's just me, I kind of liked it; but, IMO, for once I think the non-title Triple H match would have better served to close the show.

CONCLUSION

My favourite matches:
1. Rousey
2. Asuka vs. Flair
3. Intercontinental Title match

So yeah, the event was kind of flipped on its head for me. Although I

So, 10 good, 4 bad, or 10/14 for me; though it's not a 72% match like my score ratio suggests, the good points added A LOT more to it than the bad points detracted - but I think the Asuka vs. Flair and the Rousey debut match push the quality of the event up higher than those numbers would suggest, also, I added a + for Cena in the crowd - although, the fact that they were so far down the card: and that the matches I disliked were more toward the end, probably balance that all off. That was a BIG 7-hour show. One of my favourite Wrestlemanias (the one I enjoyed by far the most of everything I watched this week, although being live helped). My expectation, with all the progress WWE has made, the stories that began tonight, is that Wrestlemania 35 is going to be spectacular: I expect Rousey vs. Flair to close out the show. I expect Asuka vs Bliss to be the other women's match, and I expect Strowman vs. anyone to be the big men's title match, and Shinsuke vs someone to be the small men's title match.

Anyway, to score it by time:

Considering, IMO, the bad matches were all short, they count for less - good matches were roughly 88% of the time, and the presentation was generall good, even for the bad matches, EXCEPT in the preliminaries, those ads in the middle of matches were crap! Let's just say, as far as the main show goes, I enjoyed it about 92-95% of the run-time. I was ecstatic many times through the event, and on the edge of my seat a bunch (granted, mostly in the first half). If this show had been flipped around backward, with the first 4 matches being the last 4 matches, then the show would have been stellar.

@jumpin @Alara317 Thanks for both of your reviews I enjoyed reading them.
