With WrestleMania 34 upon us, I thought it would be fitting to post, probably, the best promos on WWE history.

I see this and it gives me chills every time. How Jim Ross and Paul Heyman set the tone before the promo... Chilling.

Another epic promo representing an intense storyline leading to a memorable WrestleMania for many reasons.

Well, so much for WWE's no blood policy.
Anyone else watching NXT?

Being the only thing NXT I've watched, I just watched the last two matches and I was quite impressed. Cien Almas and Black was a really good match, but Johnny Gargano stole the show, and that finish was really damn good.

* The 6-way ladder match for the North American Title got bloody. It was REALLY good, very action packed.

* The beginning of the women's match was more or less all Ember Moon. I was worried that Baszler might not be a good opponent... Then it got REALLY good toward the end from the point where Baszler was selling her arm. The ending had groundwork similar to the Bret Hart vs Steve Austin Wrestlemania match, or Benoit vs Michaels vs Triple H match, had me on the edge of my seat.

* The tag match was probably the lowest point of the card, but that's not a bad thing at all, this was still a fantastic match. There was some fantastic work done here, Kyle O'Reilly was a whirlwind.

* Aleister Black vs Almas was another fantastic match. I thought the opening spot was a little weird, where Almas just kind of walked over so Black could hit him with the corkscrew moonsault (or whatever move it was). Otherwise, the few matches I have seen with both these guys have all been very impressive.

* Tomasso Ciampa vs Johnny Wrestling was a work of art, there's nothing I can say, from top to bottom this match was brilliant. Yeah, one of the best endings of a match I may have ever seen. Ciampa got SIGNIFICANT heat - loved the "You deserve it" chant after he took a powerbomb from the ropes to the concrete floor, but that move looked brutally painful. They told a great story in the ring.

The match quality of the show was all around ABOVE Wrestlemania quality. I think WWE has a great talent pool for the future on the main roster.

I recommend watching the full show on the WWE Network, but, anyway, here's 35 minutes of highlights... all in under 20 minutes and about a 20p resolution =D

Ohh that's why they didn't have the HOF the night before WrestleMania like I used to remember it being. I missed it but it sounds like it was an excellent show.

Speaking of the Hall of Fame - I know they did Kid Rock likely for the Undertaker tonight, but it was clear that he wasn't a good pick, at least not for this year. I'm not saying he shouldn't be in it, but it would have been better overall in maybe 5-10 years from now; after more people forget that they hated him.

I haven't finished it yet, but IMO it has been interesting:
1. Duddleys incorporated Edge and Christian + The Hardyz, there were lots of verbal shots back and forth between them all which was entertaining as hell. I loved the moment when Christian tried to induct himself into the Hall of Fame and the crowd chanted "You deserve it!"
2. Hillbilly Jim - looks REALLY good for his age as a wrestler (usually 65 year old wrestlers look like 85-year-old normal people, this guy looked a bit older than Bubba Ray and D-Von, even though he's old enough to be their father), the fact that he had a really articulate speech surprised people, but he's been a radio personality for a long time now - so it shouldn't be surprising.
3. Ivory - I swear, she's a vampire, she doesn't look a day older than she was in 1999; and, looked about the same in her GLOW days. She likened her speech to a wedding, and it really came off like a wedding reception speech; she seemed a little champagned up. As usual, lots of praise going toward Molly Holly.
4. Kid Rock - meh
5. Jeff Jarrett - totally did not disappoint - brought up A LOT about Owen Hart. It seems Owen and Molly Holly might be the two most loved people by other wrestlers of the "gen X" generation. This speech didn't disappoint, it was great.
6. Ultimate Warrior got inducted into the Hall of Fame for the 4th time...
7. Jarrius Robertson kept his speech short and sweet and was entertaining. He even stood up for Roman Reigns, which was cool.

That's as far as I've got, the thing's like 5 hours, and there's still 1.5 hours left for Mark Henry and Goldberg which I'll get to tomorrow (got the day off).

Wow that whole John Cena-Undertaker segment was just so disappointing. If they had a match years ago it might have meant something.

Just so I have it somewhere. I am calling Taker returning as The American Badass to a live intro from Kid Rock. It's just too perfect with Kid Rock being introduced into the HOF, and already being there. Plus Taker laying down the hat and dead man gear last year.

WellI was wrong. The Dead Man lives. Nice to see, but definitely a phoned in performance. Can't complain about a bit of fan service though.

So far, this and the Steph/HHH vs Kurt/Ronda have been tbe only entertaining moments of the night. Hopefully the RAW and Smackdown Championship matches will deliver.

What are you talking about? that entire segment was gold! my buddies who were watching with me LOVED it and they don't even care about WWE!

My predictions are WAAAAY off tonight. Bludgeon Brothers and Ronda Rousey are all I've got correct so far. Awesome show though! Although I predicted Rousey submitting Triple H, so not completely correct.

I also predicted Badass Taker, that didn't happen.

I didn't think Charlotte Flair vs Asuka was going to be beaten all night, but Rousey was like female Benoit - incredibly agile and strong, she even did the Benoit-roll, and she lifted Triple H for an Angle slam, had GREAT presence; she looked like she had 10 years experience and had main evented for years.

My predictions have been almost all wrong so far: I got Bludgeons and Rousey winning, but I got the pinfalls wrong on both accounts. Every other match I was completely wrong so for me a very unpredictable card. I have Shinsuke winning the next match, Braun Strowman and tag partner (1. Samoa Joe, 2. Bray Wyatt, 3. Chris Jericho), and Reigns defeating Lesnar.

I had Naomi winning the women's battle royale, but actually changed my pick when I realized Sasha was in it, and stupid! STUPID STUPID!
