Well Keith Lee is now in AEW. Would feel like a bigger deal if he wasn't the 4th new signing in about a month. But he was great in NXT. We'll see if his flop on the main roster was WWE's fault or not.

Of course it was WWE's fault. He was a killer in the indies and a regular show-stopper in NXT. Then, right as he goes to the place where creativity goes to die, oops he's bearcat lee with Adam Cole as his would-be manager? Yeah, this is absolutely, positively, 100% and without question WWE Creative's fault.

The talent is almost never the problem. They have on their roster some of the best talent in the industry and I sincerely mean that. but when they got the Usos putting ich cream in the Revival's trunks and Karrion Cross coming out with a red gimp mask...like dude, it's bad. It's really bad. AEW ain't perfect but I don't get the impression that anyone who deserves it isn't at least getting a CHANCE to shine.

This is another case of counting the hits and not the misses for AEW, and doing the exact opposite for WWE. WWE is ALWAYS at fault? ANYONE in AEW is at least getting a chance? Come on now. Half of AEW's new signings go MIA after a couple of weeks (Mercedes Martinez, hottest free Agent Tony Nese, Jay Lethal). Christian Cage isn't doing much. Kyle O Reilly has had one match since signing. Danhausen debuted last week. So, he'd probably be on this week's show right? Nope. Shida was champion, and she's MIA. (Maybe Visa issues?) Instead there are two more signings. Really don't think everyone's getting a chance. Between showing up as a gimp and not showing up at all, it's questionable which is better.

As for people failing being WWE's fault, well always is obviously ridiculous. But even taking that not literally, there are people that are hyped and that people claim have been misused by the WWE, then they go to AEW... and do not much of anything. Shawn Spears debuted and got thrown out of a rumble by a double amputee. Hasn't done much since. Malakai Black isn't setting the world on fire. Andrade has been worthless. Miro started having feuds about his videogame getting broken (which is at least a stup up from being cucked I guess). Jake Hager is getting paid a lot to stand and look mean now and then. Cody Rhodes somehow manages to get hated in the promotion he helped start.

So, I dunno. Of the people who didn't do well in WWE, how many of them are really drawing and succeeding in AEW?

Btw as for FTR, pretty sure they were doing that specifically to embarass them cause they knew they were leaving. Not saying it isn't a despicable thing to do, but it was less about incompetent booking and more about pettiness.  It wasn't supposed to get them over, that was the whole point.

Yeah, I'm really starting to think aew is signing too much talent. They're only doing 3 hours of TV a week.

Great episode of dynamite regardless. Tag match and main event stood out.

A bunch of AEW contracts are expiring soon and Tony Khan has stated publicly that he isnt going to renew them.

So backstage morale might be a bit low but not as low as WWE's lol

Really? Was going to ask you for a link but I could google it myself.

I never got to see much of brain cage and not much of Lio Rush either having not really been watching too much of impact or wwe in the last few years.

Big Swole seems like a good talent to just let walk away though.

Watching that tag match on dynamite, I couldn't help but notice that it was all former wwe performers in the ring.

I just hope they learn the lessons of tna/impact and stop bringing in former wwe talent and putting them right at the top of the card.

Sorry, I'm not as active as I used to be in the past.

https://www.wrestlinginc.com/news/2022/02/tony-khan-talks-not-renewing-upcoming-expiring-aew-contracts/

Most of my news feeds about wrestling is from WrestlingInc.

But ya there's been a couple of articles about it.

Joey Janela is another name being thrown around as part of the no extension for contract list alongside Brian Cage who's been dormant in AEW for months.

Lio Rush already announced ahead.

I wonder who else will be affected.

Shida has talked about how she's struggling. Janela should never been hired in the first place. Lio Rush seems like a locker room cancer.

The rate at which they hire new people is just unsustainable. The company is as well booked as when I used to play with my action figures. I had a few favorites who I'd play with no matter what. Then the rest of them would get ignored whenever I got new ones. Daddy Khan has to stop letting Tony buy new ones and tell him to just play with his old ones.

Edit: I dunno if it's a language thing (although Shida seems to have a good command of English in text at least, just harder to speak it), but it seems like Hikaru Shida has zero fucks left to give.

She can work, looks like she can credibly kick some ass, is drop dead gorgeous, was champion for almost a year, now wrestles once a month. But they signed AQA! Because I guess they got bored with her. People have to stop telling me AEW is the land of opportunity.

Yep agreed and lmao at that tweet.

That sounds like the typical WWE catering joke response lol

Emi Sakura also posted something about catering... I initially thought it was legitimate praise for AEW catering, but perhaps not.

Cody Rhodes is apparently gone from AEW. Both sides have released the standard thank you, but you know there is a more interesting story.

How is he going to WWE?

Crazy.

Certainly hasn't held back on any platform to show his displeasure for his time there.

Must be a lot of money... Like.... A lot a lot.

Money talks.

Never say never as they say lol

I really don't know.

AEW hasn't been shy about giving big contracts. So, why would they be reluctant to give Cody of all people a big deal? Why would WWE get into a bidding war for him?  And why would he be worth more to WWE than AEW?

Sounds like there's more to it to me. I just don't see WWE wanting him that much worse than AEW, and I don't see Cody being featured more prominently in WWE.

Edit: Unless Cody is going to be at elimination chamber... that Saudi payday can really tip the scales.
