Forums - Politics Discussion - Hillary Clinton gives her take on Sanders supporters

Please take quotes off of "Basement Dwellers" in the title. That's not part of the actual quote and is misleading out of context.

Yaaaas Queen, slay, Yaaaaaaas

well she right, young people supported Bernie, most of young people still live in their moms basement, Hillarys supporters are the elite and NWO!

If anything that quotation demonstrates Clinton's understanding of and empathy with Sanders' supporters. The thread title is misleading and incendiary. I really don't see how this is scandalous at all.

My 23 year-old brother is an annoying Bernie fan and I could only call him an adult with some difficulty. He gets his politics from internet memes and is stuck in a dead-end job considering his great hesitance to go back to school.

That said, Clinton's comments are not completely inaccurate.

What she said, and what you said she said aren't the same thing. At least not in spirit.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I don't see this as that offensive. Many people in their 20s and 30s were hit hard by 2008 and the aftermath. Statistically more young people now live longer with their parents than previous generations. Student debt and inability to get well paying jobs has left many struggling to build a life of their own. Most revolutions do start when people are dissatisfied with their situation and think change would be preferable.

So, the thread title is misleading, and what she's saying is...well, true and accurate. Millennials are living with their parents for far longer than past generations.

She also seems to completely understand why so many millenials feel disillussioned. What exactly is the scandal here?

Seems like whenever supposedly "damaging" e-mails about Clinton are leaked by hackers, they must be taken completely out of context and rely on people not reading what is actually said.

Fuck her

Perhaps you should actually read the entire post and not just the thread title before having such an aggressive response?

Yeah....you really should.

Beyond the fact that the thread title is misleading, her quote is quite empathetic, shows she understands the root of the outrage many millenials are feeling, and on top of that, what she says about "millenials living in their parents basements" is very accurate:

Here I thought I was about to be given (more) reasons to dislike her, but having heard all this, I'm pleasantly surprised. Turns out she isn't deaf to the grievances of Sanders supporters, and she seems to actually empathize with the situation many of whom are in. That gets a thumbs-up from me, so good on Hillary.
