MS thought Sony would have a IW bundle. They've been countering PS4 bundles with that free game deal. Can't believe there's isn't one.

 

You're absolutely right, but I think MS is countering the Pro this time, since IW actually releases the week before.

About that IW bundle. Doesn't look like they're going to do a LE bundle, but maybe there's a chance they'll still do a standard bundle. I remember the BOIII standard bundle was a late bloomer last year, so maybe this will be the case too.

I don't think that the sales of the FFXV's Xbox One version wil be enough for Square Enix. Even Final Fantasy 7 Remaster sold more than 1 million on PC.

IW releases on a Friday. Makes sense that the free game deal would start at the beginning of the week.

A member of Cheapassgamer has already posted info from the Target ad for that week. It could be that it's a Target only deal, but considering every other time it's been spread across Gamestop, Best Buy and Amazon as well, I'd feel fairly safe in assuming that it's going to be the same this time. 

 

And Pionner, I get where you're coming from, but IW is still going to sell a lot more on the 4th and 5th than it will the week of the 6th. I still think it's to counter the Pro, but either way, it doesn't much matter, as it's still going to give the Xbox a nice week in counter to the Pro. 

 

Edit: Actually, it looks as if the deal is a double whammy, of sorts. The deal starts this Friday the 4th, at least at Best Buy, so the Xbox will essentially have a COD bundle for the first 9 days of release. It may even be possible to get an Xbox One with 3 additional games for $360 at Target on Friday and Saturday, if they allow deal stacking.
