Man for $400 what we're getting is insane. the hype is too much. I might just explode like a thermal imploder from star wars battlefront. Ps4 pro is going to be my ultimate gaming machine. day fucking 1!!!

it would cost me $400, but it isnt going to cost you that is it...

...and explode like an implosion?

Yeah good point.  I'm selling my ps4 for $200. So it only costs me another $200.

Wait until you see native 4K at this price.

I doubt the reaction will be significantly different, the IQ jump between what people are used to on the PS4/X1 versus checkerboard 4k + HDR is significantly larger than what we'll see between the Pro and Scorpio (not even just subjectively; the raw pixel jump alone will on average be larger). The latter difference will still be significant to many (i expect myself included, which is a bit disappointing for me given i have no need for a Scorpio), but the relative jumps will be similar enough that i'd expect the average consumer's reaction to be similar in both instances.

Of course, the Scorpio may also present significant graphical upgrades over the Pro versions of games, but until we know more of the Scorpio's unknown hardware variables (CPU, RAM, GPU type, etc), it's hard to make assumptions on that front.

Scorpio probably wont do native 4k either... and thats 12months or more away, and will probably cost 449$-499$.

Also it wont have Horizon Zero Dawn.

It will. There's room for debate as far as how consistently it'll hit that target, but in general it'll certainly have native 4k titles. Even the Pro will have some.

It's also worth remembering that MS themselves already often target a native 1080p on the X1, just at lower general graphical mark than on the PS4. If the Pro can take 1080p PS4-setting games and run them at 1800p (pre-checkerboard), the Scorpio will certainly be able to handle 1080p X1-setting games at a native 4k. We may even see significant graphical upgrades, but that's moving the discussion more into speculation.

Native 4k is confirmed. As is the very likely pricing of $400...

Embedded systems drop in price monthly...

Finally, we will have Fallout 4 VR...

4k was not confirmed. MS said they would not force anyone to do so. Thus implying that there could be a great deal of games that dont run native 4k.

Less upscaleing than the PS4 pro, but probably still upscaled, so not true 4k for all games.

Just today Spencer suggests "scorpio will not cost 600$".

Why say that if you know its going to cost 400$? Because its going to cost more, otherwise it doesnt make sense to say it ll be under 600$.

Its going to be over 400$.

It is useless for me because I don't plan to invest in a hdr tv anytime soon.

plus that tv you have to buy/have bought specifically for this purpose.

What if I or the other consumer was going to buy a 4k TV regardless of a game console?

Cant wait either. Getting a Pro on Day 1 to play on my 43 inch 4K HDR Smart TV :D

Just wish I hadnt blown $400 on an XB1 S on impulse... :(

The PS4 Pro 4K upscale rendering is almost equal according to DF its just when you move around with your body you can see a difference like with 3D glasses

Your post history shows you are buying it for this purpose.  If someone already has one then I refer you to my first post.

False assumption.  and I'll tell you why.  I'm not buying a 4k TV this year for the ps4 pro.  I'm getting it next year. I was waiting until then because there will be sufficient time gone since I got my current TV and the standard of 4k set I want will be going for a price I'm willing to pay.

If ps4 pro didn't exist I'd be getting a 4TV then regardless.  I guess analysing my post history doesn't always deliver the truth.

Wow. HDR is amazing !
