6 months of nothing good really

Pretty easy to get Platinum points but they aren't useful really.. My Picross for 1000 sure has a lack of content

..and no Gold coins for physical purchases, where those points could be useful :/

I remember back in the GBA/early GC days, Club Nintendo would award you with 5 Stars every day you visited the site, had plenty of gifts both cheap and expensive to pick from, your points never expired (both claimed and unclaimed) and you got random gifts every now and then (sure it was like a desktop image or a screensaver, but it was the thought that counted). Those were the days.

It has promise but a lot of flaws in the implementation that make it a overall worst experience then Club Nintendo.

1.) They shouldn't have tried to make the shallow Miitomo experience so integral to the program.
2.) There should be some way to redeem points for purchase of physical games instead of only getting points for eshop purchases.
3.) There should be better deals and discounts then what is offered. Hell the supposed personalized discount I got featured two deals on games I already bought digitally.

I agree on your points. I still think they can fix Miitomo if they just convert it to an instant messenger service for their devices (but then they have to make it lean and fast), maybe make it more like Tomodachi but the the easiest route is to just leave it die.

Look how Nintendo celebrates the half a year mark, can't wait to spend all my coins on these awesome discounts...

Platinum Points (until January 1, 2017)
HydroVenture: Spin Cycle (3DS) – 20% off, 200 Platinum Points
HarmoKnight (3DS) – 20% off, 250 Platinum Points
The Denpa Men: They Came by the Wave (3DS) – 30% off, 200 Platinum Points
Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth (3DS) – 15% off, 250 Platinum Points

Gold Points (until January 1, 2017)

And talk of the devil, there's a My Nintendo ticket included in the mini Famicon... Physical coins?

the point of Club Nintendo was that when you buy new games you get points to spend on cool stuff. in my case, i used points from new games to buy more new games. the problem with My Nintendo is that Nintendo has no games anymore. I havent bought a single Nintendo game since Holiday Season of last year, and I am a dedicated Nintendo fan.

looking at it just now, i actually did earn 30 Gold Points buying Lego City for the 3DS. with that i could get Fire Emblem or F-Zero: MV. both of which i already have. other than that i could buy Miitomo stuff, which nobody cares about anymore, or discounts, which seem pretty backhanded. If im spending money to get these points i might as well just buy the game youre offering a discount for. if it was the full game it would have my support buy 15% off is a no go.

now that i took a few minutes to take it all in, i realize this service is completely pointless. You can get in-game items for a game nobody cares about, discounts on games that you have to be reminded even exist, and 3DS themes.

cant say im surprised though. Nintendo has bombed in all areas of player interaction this year. nobody uses Miiverse anymore, Club Nintendo is gone and My Nintendo is shit, and we have no games.

That ticket could be for this page on My Nintendo.

A ticket might just be for hardware since you cannot find this page on the homepage itself (only by that menu button). That would logically be because it wouldn't be used much. Few customers by new N hardware each month :p.

Yup, that's what it looks like. Could only be for hardware, but retail NX games should get them too :)

Now they just need to make a service that's worth a damn.

This thread made me look at the site by the way, something I hardly ever do and I'm proud to say I now have a grand total of no less than 0, yes, 0 points! Guess whatever I had has expired by now.

I'm glad to oblige. Don't worry though, even if you had the points you would not be able to spend them.
