After quite a while, we've finally reached the ending of Naruto Shippuden for the anime. Instead of the disappointing Kaguya fight, we get Naruto vs Sasuke, hoorah!

Anyways, I wasn't sure what I was expecting from Studio Pierrot, but they certainly delivered. flashbacks were kept to a minimum, the animation was excellent at all times, and it stuck true to the manga(while idc if they add filler moments, it really wouldn't fit the last fight, y'know?). I didn't really expect Sasuke to use the jutsu where we uses lightning. It struck me by surprise, considering how the last(and only) time he used it was to kill Itachi. The moment where they both lost chakra and simply punched each other was pretty depressing if you ask me. Shows how much Sasuke wants to get rid of Naruto.

Speaking of losing chakra though, I am seriously shocked that Sasuke wasn't able to kill Naruto. The rinnegan, sharingan, and the tail beast's powers should definitely be more than enough for him to kill someone who only has half a tail beast's power. truly shows how much people underestimate Naruto's ability. 

As for rating these 2 episodes, they're easily both 10's across the boards. After a lackluster finish to the war, a satisfying fight with great execution was delivered to us(and in the form of a 1 hour special- woohoo).

All we're waiting for is the last episode, which will be called "The Unison Sign". Being a person who's only watched the anime for the majority of part 2, I must admit that I'm satisfied with Naruto Shippuden. Can't really say I hate anything from it besides the second arc and the fight with Kaguya. Besides that, it's been something that'll be a great part of my childhood. naruto, dragonball, fullmetal, death note- such great shows. Sad to see another memorial anime finish.

Yep. They were aired as 2 episodes, but released at the same time.

The first time i've watch Naruto in years... for obvious reasons. Those episode were amazing. Animation and soundtracks were on point.

I already knew what was going to happen since I started reading the manga when anime filler struck hard just a few months before the manga ended, and the game had the ending too, but this was quite amazing.

Liked the filler fight addition in the beggining (Seeing Kirin again was very cool), music was top notch and animation was high level as most high profile Naruto episodes.

Makes me sad that Naruto is finally ending, didn't want anymore fillers but it still hits me.

PS. After this fight I was thinking Sasuke did really become the strongest ninja after Naruto "lost" part of the Kyubi, but I'm sure he would find a way to stand against him like always lol

I dropped the anime some month ago. Too many fillers 3/10.

Right on! Studio Pierrot did an AWESOME job animating the episodes. Everything from the music (especially when Naruto and Kurama fist bumped, and Kirin appearing) to the fight scenes were superb.

The emotions running in that episode definitely made it one of my favorites of all time. The Rasengan when everyone from the past and present was putting their chakra in was memorable. The only thing that bothered me a bit about the fight was the fact that the animators let Sasuke get more hits off of Naruto. It wasn't as back and forth as their first fight. Then some of the fans told me to remember that Naruto didn't want to kill Sasuke. Still, it was a great fight.

I just wonder what would have happened if Naruto went all out right at the beginning of the fight. It would have been a more even match then. I definitely thought that Sasuke was the man here. He did his thing. He got powers that wasn't shown in the manga, while Naruto got...squat. Just the same clone, Rasengan, bijuu bomb. The episodes were indeed great though.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. The fight was more like Naruto surviving Sasuke`s attacks and then it got even ahhaha. Don't blame him though, Sasuke had the bijuu and was trying hard to kill him 

Ahh yeah the bijuu would have been a problem for Sasuke. Still, Naruto could have beaten him without them. Naruto should strive more to be like his father and have other jutsu at his disposal. I mean...sure he has sage mode, but he should have more to combat Sasuke. I guess that's moot now that the series is done. No sense of it even showing up on the Boruto series.

I watched the episodes again to make sure I wasn't tripping. Nah I wasn't tripping. Sasuke definitely was getting the better of Naruto. Man he was fighting harder than I ever seen him. Even versus Itachi he didn't fight as hard as he did against Naruto. He REALLY wanted Naruto dead. LOL Naruto wasn't having that though. Still gotta say that Sharinnengan is OP as hell. Imagine if he had it in both eyes. He would no doubt be the strongest on the planet, unrivaled.

Decided to jump back and watch the fight. Really loved the way they reflected their battles from the past and how they ended up using the same Jutsu signs with each other's hands.

Just to clarify somethings.

Naruto has Half of a tail beast inside him, but also has a part of all the tailed beasts inside him.

Secondly, Narutos biggest strength is actually how much Chandra he has access to. And not just from his own or that of the tailed beasts. Sage mode means he can channel into an almost infinate amount of Canada from nature. Notice in the fight before they got spent, Narutos tailed beast was accumulating Chandra for Naruto while be was fighting Sasuke?

Also, notice that even while they were spent and love tapping eachother kurama (forget it's name) could still pass chakara to Naruto (which Sasuke stole)?

The key difference here is that Sasuke is like a container. He couldnt even store the chakara inside home self he needed his big statue thing to do it when he sucked out chakara from the captured tailed beasts. While Naruto is like a conduit cause he has a tailed beast inside him. He can physically store more chakara than any living soul.
