So it's a complete replacement for Tivo and satellite TV?! Sweet.

Yes, that's why GAF is going crazy for it. People are saving lots of money every month and getting a better service.

I'm in the UK. I hope when I move to my new home about 18 months from now),  that this service has come over. My Virgin box is slow and outdated. Sky works better buy is horrendously overpriced.

This sounds like it might even give Now TV a good run for its money.

I'm sure it will come to the UK eventually but I doubt it will be soon. It really only just went nationwide in the US and currently has about 250k users. That's a good number but I'm sure Sony will want it to drive profit in order to expand to other territories.

The PS5 Exists.

This is becoming the ultimate TV service in the US. I can see it gaining traction big time in 2017. Such an awesome service.

I ordered the free 7-day trial for HBO. I have to say I'm impressed. Considering my DirectV doesn't even have DVR (it's a complicated story) the quality and ease of use is pretty refreshing. I'm going to plow through all the Game of Thrones I missed this season (all but one of them) and then decide whether to expand the service or not.

So Sony are taking over the living room! Since MS created Xbox purely to stop Sony doing this, what's their plan to stop this?

You can also get HBO separately for 15 a month. I'm tempted to cut the cord. Competition has arrived!

Yeah, I'm trying the 7-day trial for the HBo standalone. All my free time this week goes to Westeros :)

I just had my first person at work ask me about what he would need to switch to Vue. Sony really might have something on their hands here.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

wow pretty class this was the first time I seen the costs of it broken down, if those prices came to EU that would be a very good competition as one of the best TV providers here, compared to Sky and Chorus... or.. virgin IRL those would be destroyed by this sort of service.

That said... Netflix is where I get my entertainment from and while it doesn't have live TV options in there it does have more content than I can watch both movies and series for €12 a month.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Netflix lacks too many of the big shows though.
