Forums - General Discussion - Do you buy a product that was made in your country or made by a company that is from your country?

I ask this question because I tend to do this all the time. Even if the product is inferior. I try to buy products that was made in America or if the company that made it is based in America. I feel like I'm helping this country everytime I do this. Now a lot of you know I'm an xbox fanboy and I like the xbox one the most out of all the consoles this generation. However, I will still buy the xbox one and buy xbox one games on the system over the other competitors no matter what. Even if I found the product inferior. Thoughts?

Only if its better. If its not, I gots no cares and I will buy the better product. If both products are a tie, then sure.

You mean US?Because America is a continent, you know?

To the OP at hand, I buy the best product available, be it national or international.I mean, price factors in, but outside of that, I go for quality, not for a country.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I always buy best product available for what I can afford. To do otherwise you are only doing yourself and others a disservice. Patriotism is one of the worst evils in this world.

like whats your point in your mentality?

I buy the best product I can afford, if a foreign company is undercutting the American company, there's nothing I can do.

If everything is equal, I would buy the American product.

No. I buy what I think is best. Not where its from. I'm not a fan of my country as it is, buying "home made" products from here on purpose doesn't benefit me in any capacity

I buy what I view is best thing regardless of which country it's from.

But the only technology UK companies make are cars.
That's pretty much it, no tech is really made in this country.
