I don't read any reviews, but I do often find myself agreeing with IMDb ratings.

Usually yes, but not always. Reviews are after all just opinions, so of course there's going to be disagreements.

I don't do review any more, critics seem to be biased or they seem to jump the social train. And this is the same for music, games, phones, books and the list goes on. I know what I like, and don't need someone to tell me what to like or to buy!

Obviously not. The traditional movie critic is a Cultural Marxist who gives high scores to foreign movies and low scores to typical Western Movies.

The more perversion and portrayal of unnormal things a movie has the higher the score it will receive, and the more good morals and traditional Western culture and values it has, the lower the score.

"Does this movie ask what it is to be human? Good, it's clearly a five."

"Does this movie criticize the system. No? I give it a two!"

No more or less than I agree with reviews of other media types, which I'd say is about half the time.

Nope. I only agree with my own reviews.

No... alot of american reviewers think movies are great if they just have enough special effects, and car chases, explosions, action scenes. Even if the story telling of it is a mess, or it lacks story, has plotholes ect.

^ those types of critics I generall agree with.

I dislike when movies are nothing but action scenes, explosions car chases, and lack substance, good storytelling ect.

More often than with games yes, but still fairly off the mark

Yes, usually. My tastes in movies often fall in line with the critical community - in large part because I've studied what they've studied and watched what they've watched. Viewing movies from 1895 to today from all countries and in all styles has given me a strong foundation on which to judge the moving picture.

In short, most critics are movie snobs and so am I

Usually, yes. I do watch the trailers first. But, I don't always agree. For example. I don't care about the Avatar series. It copies a lot of other films. I like the Supergirl movie. Yeah, it's a complete clunking mess. Compared to Superman 1 and 2. But watching the directors cut. Made it have more sense. And it's very faithful to the Reeve film styles. It's freaking better than Superman 3 and 4.
