While I cannot answer your question with 100% certainty, I will tell you that only buy it cheap. It does run its own set of games, however do not know what exactly runs and what doesn't. It is first and foremost a PSVita but in TV form (it does not run every Vita game however).

I wish I could just gift you mine. Now that I have vita, I rarely want to launch the poor thing.

Its literally just a PS Vita without the screen or buttons. So yeah you should be able to download those games onto the PSTV just fine.

Yes, you can download and play the PSOne and PSP games that they have available at the PS Store you don't need anything else. BTW you can also use either a PS3 or PS4 controller...

Ah yeah its a no go for the US because reasons but EU is fine to buy and download Crash and Spyro 1-3
