The Nintendo NX will offer a VR experience.  It will be different than anything seen yet.  It will be designed to be a social experience.  The detatchable controlers will be used for this.  The screens will be supplied by Sharp using some variation of it's free-form tech.  The handheld portion of the NX system will be designed with this in mind.  Keep in mind, the handheld is only part of the system and there is a true home console as well.  The console will stream the VR experience to the handheld/VR set. Enjoy.

Personally I doubt it and hope not

If anywhere remotely true this console/device is starting to become so complex that users won't have a clue what its meant to do and the *parts* they need to buy to get it to work.

I personally hate VR, but it looks like NX may support it.

With that thought in mind...

...the tablet will be put into a VR glass case like those Android VR case, then use the detached controllers to play. Thus..it'll be the Virtual Boy 2.

NX is now a home console/handheld/VR all in one.

So basically it does everything but is a master of none... not sure that would work out well for the device.

Prediction: it will not. Reason: it's too expensive to do properly.

It will come with the WiiStrap so you can strap your WiiPad to your WiiHead.

The PS4 is barely able to run VR, which is a homeconsole. I wonder how a hybrid console like NX would be able to do VR.

You're assuming the NX doesn't have a home console with a capable APU.
