Forums - Gaming Discussion - If CERN/NASA were to prove our universe is a simulation, how would it affect you?

I would Auto destruct myself.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

That's the direction of most religions, anyway, even if people don't recognize it as that. See George Berkeley, Bishop of Cloyne, who argued that matter does not exist and that we are basically figments of god's imagination.

What a meaningless distinction!

It already feels like a simulation.
Then there'd be nothing left to feel.

That is so much AI logic fail. It hurts. If they have to protect. The uprisings in Animatrix couldn't of happened. But they did. So then they're emotions to murder. Somehow made them bad. Then reverted back to protecting, once the robot killing was over? They should of never made the other films. This is just a mess.

'Have to protect'? No, they are doing it because they care. AI is meant to be intelligence, right? Even if artificial. An inteligent beings nature would mean they fight for survival in a war regardless of their origins. It's a question of whether an AI, one individual one, is alive or not. You need to treat their thinkings as if they were not man made in order to justify the idea of their life. It wasn't a case of out for murder then to protecting, in the Animatrix, 1 AI killed his owners because he didn't want to die, he had fear that they'd turn him off. The robots fought back when the war started, humans did too. But in the end, what was there? A planet left in ruins and made unihabitable by those who need it to survive. Robots won and history is writen by the victors.

Hmm, pie.

The earth is flat. We live under the dome. The underworld is controlling the upperworld. We are God's slaves and everyone who doesn't listen to him will be punished.

They still followed their basic programing. So they still revereted back to being "slaves". Once humans where whipped out. How does that make sense? One minute they knew what people were doing, was wrong. Killed everyone. Unless they spared the humans that didn't agree in harming robots. Not every person on the planet would. Then magically reverted back to caring? If they were more human. They would make some humans into punching bags. It's a confusing mess. For them to be truly human. They wouldn't bounce between just those two points. They should have a grey area. The movies basically shows them as plot devices. Only are considered alive. To do the arguing/murdering part. Then go to "saviors". So that the movies can exsist.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if our universe was one. We don't have a clue as to what our universe sits in, or if it is simply infinite. The possibilities our endless, so I would only be surprised that we found out how our universe exists.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

hat do you "til the end of time"? A song?

Look here you filthy casuals:

I hope I don't have to explain what's its relation with the topic of the thread. And consider yourselves lucky that a certain mod isn't whpping your asses to shape for your disgusting lack of knowledge of such marvelous series. Nubs.

“Simple minds have always confused great honesty with great rudeness.” - Sherlock Holmes, Elementary (2013).

"Did you guys expected some actual rational fact-based reasoning? ...you should already know I'm all about BS and fraudulence." - FunFan, VGchartz (2016)

In a sense our universe IS a simulation, since whatever it is... our reality is just a program that executes according to some rules, and is executed by and in something else.

However what people usually mean here is that we are in a simulation, and we will wake up from it at some point rather than vanish.

If we found out it's the latter, I would try to find out the purpose of the simulation and how to win it .

A real life lurker? How long ya been lurking? Was your lurking enjoyable?

I actually don't lurk much, just drop by every now and then to quicly catch up on videogame matters, really. Just happend to really bored tho, so the relatively outlandish thread tittle caught my attention. I did use to actively lurk back then before creating this account and being kinda active for a while a few years ago. Just realised this is my 999th post btw, so I guess I'll have to log back on some time for another one :P
