Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Chinese Foxconn sketch artists returns with the NX

Interesting and weird at the same time.Making it have a portable performance module seems weird to the On The Go aproach.I mean, its not very portable. But at the same time, it looks interesting, since it is very different. If it is supposed to also be a handheld at this level of power, japanese support is basically a garantee at this point, with the companies developing for 3DS AND for Vita jumping to NX.At the very least, we can be certain that those guys will offer support. Now, more than that?We dont know, and it all really depends on what the NX ends up being and its success on the market.

Now....the real NX won't be all squiggly like the drawing. Right?

I do like the "performance module" idea if it was optional. They could even just introduce different "modules" as times goes on to add more performance.

I wouldn't mind that.

Module has extra processing power + say extra battery built in. I could dig it.

Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?
I repeat will the real Slim Shady please stand up?
We're going to have a problem here."

They need to play this when they finally reveal it.

But that cpould also kill the ease of use.Yes, I know that you would still be able to play the games with the "vanilla" version, but you wouldnt get the best experience, and I would hate that.If it was only one module or two, released like 3 to 4 years after the initial launch, I could be more ok with that, but it still dosent rub me the right way.

I'd rather the casuals stick to their phone games thus they won't potentially be dumbing down mechanics anymore.

This is what blows my mind. Nintendo doesn't want to compeat with Sony and Microsoft (only two) but wants to compeat with hundreds of mobile manufacturers for the casual gaming market.

Most of those mobile developers don't carry a name like Nintendo's.

Nintendo has the money to make a PS4 Pro/Xbox One Scorpio killer console but they won't do it.

Good. I'd rather Nintendo chase after high framerates than high polygon counts.

I think that after all the rumors there will be no real hype when the thing is actually launched.

It would be so funny if they revealed a standard console lol. Nintendo would be murdered.

I'm fine with it as long as though don't give Core Gamers the finger again.

Reggie was using the words Red Ocean during E3. This console isn't for you. Or me. Maybe none of us. More than likely Nintendo made this console for Nintendo.
