I kept all of mine from the 6th generation onward. I didn't keep the SNES ones because I was young and dumb I guess. Plus I guess you don't really need them all that much. Luckily I still kept some old stuff, like old Gameboy and GBA boxes. Looking back at those are real nice..!

It depends on the system

Pong: N/A

Atari2600, Lynx, NES, SNES, N64, Gamegear: No, it's a chore to take the carts out and put them away again. The boxes will be damaged by repeated use anyway.

Vectrex, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, PSP, Xbox360: No, bootlegs don't deserve their own cases

GameCube, Wii, WiiU, Master System, Mega Drive, PS3, Xbox, Xbone: Yes, they're convenient and protect the games.

Gameboy, Virtualboy, GBA, DS, 3DS, Vita: Yes, but they are stored away and games are kept in a single cartridge wallet for convenience.

If it's Blu-Ray, it's scratch resistance.

I have Resistance 2 game disc with scratches and it doesnt work, so no it's not resistant.

Oh, the isn't irony.

I keep everything, can't belive some people get rid of their cases.

Since the NES, I keep every box and case in some form or fashion. I remember in the early 1990s, you can buy clear plastic replacement cases for for cartridges. For a select few, I used to cut the boxes to size and fit the content into one of those cases. It looked great on a shelf and made the game very easily accessible. Looking back, I wish I had just left the box intact.

I have nightmares about all the cases and boxes I tossed as a child.

Stupid young JP, stupid, stupid, stupid young JP!

...I suspect he'd be embarrassed to see what I've become. :D

I say this because when I go to GameStop or, hell, even half my friends houses' they only keep the discs or cartridges. It's a pet peeve of mine. It may be just the "keeping everything" mentality of me being a collector. But does this not bother anyone else? Everyone thinks Im crazy for not liking games without their cases; I mean, I AM crazy, but I can't be the only one bothered by it x.x XD

You have weird friends. :) Have literally never met anybody in my life who discards boxes/cases for games.

Who the fuck doesn't keep their game cases?

I'd say that about 1/3 of the used games I purchase from Gamestop do not have their original cases.  So, apparently, a whole lot of people don't keep them.

I always keep mine.  I kept cases for cartridges when I was a kid (thankfully, we were a Sega family, so all games had plastic cases), and I keep them for disks now.  Like other posters here, I do not always keep my 3ds games in their cases.  But, the cases are always around.

This might be the most one sided poll ever on this site.
