The sad thing in this is how low X1 have sold

Did they even promote the console there? :S
They should have worked with Mistwalker on a new Blue Dragon game :/

I remember close to launch some promo and a video featuring all the games that were coming to it being praised for how good it was and how effective it'd be. Not by everyone, but by some people.

Some others rightly pointed out that those games wouldn't be do much for it.

It's sad but I doubt Microsoft can do anything to sell big numbers in Japan. Even Xbox360 which had some awesome JRPGs like Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey only sold ~1m lifetime.

Haha. Now I'm rare one of the XB1 owners in Japan .

Is Xbox marketing really that bad in Japan so almost no one knows that it exists?

I kinda wish we have trackers for other Asian markets like Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, etc. so we have a general idea of the market trends in Asia, not just Japan.

Most of Asia (not just japan):

Population of Japanese XB1 owners are really few though.  Japanese Xbox fans have  loud voice.

So their presence is not small.

Well it is great news for people who dislike or hate Japanese games, the investments in Japanese games that Microsoft did was really positive and helped to create some new Ip's or boost some franchises. Now Japan is full with kids that don't know Xbox but knows what call of duty is.

Yeah, but it is fans. Average gamer who is not loyal to some specific brand doesn't care about Xbox or even doesn't know it exists. Am I right?

Wasn't Xbox One the first console to ever ship to China if I'm not mistaken. I remember reading something like this
