You're pissed at being given more options?

More options and more choice is good, you can choose to upgrade or you can choose to stick with what you've got. The system you own hasn't changed.

One of the perks to owning a console used to be not having the need to upgrade. I won't be buying the PS4 Pro and I'm sure I'll enjoy Final Fantasy XV well enough on my regular plain vanilla PS4. My discontent comes from the fact that had I known there would be a PS4 Pro down the line, I might have held off on my purchase... or I might have still opted for the regular version but I would have liked to have had all the information available to me.

You had your chance to call Miss Cleo before she died. It was only this past summer before she passed on.

I don't get people's reaction towards the PS4 pro.

Its basically High Quality settings and a bunch of 2017 exclusives for $400.

The fact that people can still find a way to hate that, its beyond me.

One could only hope this is true...

I am starting to doubt my Pre-Order decision, however, since the PS4 Pro news is getting worse for 1080p TV owners like myself. I have 1.5 months to find out if I need to cancel my pre-order. I hope better and more detailed news come out soon.

Are you one of those people that is taking a simply straightforward thing and over complicating it?

From a certain date eveey game released gets a Pro mode. Pro mode means the gake runs at higher rez on 4k Tvs and all round better improvements using the extra power.

That extra poeer will no doubt xarty over in some shape or form to every person playing the game on a 1080pTv using a PS4pro. All this was clearly daid dyring the Pro reveal.

The only games you will not see a benefit from playing on the Pro from are those already released games that didn't get a patch.

All that I said was revealed during the Pro announent and the interviews that followed. Where are you getting your own information from?

They did not say that Every game will get the Pro patch. It will be up to the devleopers whether or not they wish to add it and what features they wish to add. They have a choice to enhance the visuals, add 4K, add HDR, or whatever other possible enhancements they choose. The games that will have Pro features will be clearly labled on the PS4 store and on the packaging of the PS4 game.

They said that all games that come out after the release date that wish to take advantage of the PRO features need to do it by X date, most likely so that the features can be verfied by Sony so that the games can be labled correctly.

They repeated many times that it is not required by any game during the post show interviews.

You don't "need" to upgrade. There are two PS4s now. one is $100 more expensive than the other.

You make it sound like the Base PS4 is suddenly obsolete.....  I would understand your discontent if the pro cost the dsme with the original right now.

in 2013, the best $400 console they could make was the PS4 you own now. 3 years later, the best $400 console they can make is the PS4pro.... don't see what the issue is.

True you don't need to upgrade but people feel pushed into it.  People with a PS4 will pay the same amount for their games but get not the same experience as PS4 pro players.

Btw the Xbox 360/PS3 were powerfull cheap consoles, while PS4/Xbox one were cheap mediocre powerfull consoles, they easy could made the consoles more powerfull but as their right...they choose to go for the profits. And now they can sell another console it is kind of brilliant from a financial point.

I did say that I'll be enjoying FFXV on my regular PS4 so I don't know how you got that I though it was obsolete. I didn't appreciate the surprise move of offering an upgraded console half-way down the line, that's all.

In the leaked documents, which we can confirm is real now cause it got everything about the pro dead right, it clearly stated that every game released from October will ship with a Pro mode.

What Sony has "repeatedly" said will be up to devs is how they choose to use that Pro mode. But it also said that on the Pro all games must at the very least run at 1080p and a framerate no worse than the base PS4.

Now to think that a dev will make a pro version of their game (with higher rez and better assets) then just somehow take all the extra stuff out for those playing it on a 1080p tv.... is just ridiculous. At the very least you get super sampling if the game was rendered natively on the Pro at anything higher than 1080p. Basically, everything added or improved on the Pro mode will get carried over to a 1080p tv. I don't even believe this has to be explained.

I don't understand how or why you would say the PS4/XB1 were cheap mediocre consoles. But I'm just gonna ignore that and not get into it.

What you said about paying for the same game but getting less of an experience is just bullshit. That's like saying a PC gamer feels cheated csuse he pays for the same game but the person that has a GPU that cost 3 times more than his GPU gets a better gaming experience.

In 2013, the best $400 console they could make was what we got. Making it more powerful and selling it at a massive loss was not a route they were willing to take. But even at that, they still have u the best all round package you could get for $400.

In 2016, that is the PS4pro. If the PS4 cost $300 and gives you what can be considered a $300 expericne today. If you want better performance then you pay for the current $400 box. Simple as that.

Because you spent $400 3yrs ago doesn't mean the world sits still.... but answer me this; take FF15, so what you are basically saying is that it would have been ok if EVERYONE got the same variable rez game at mostly 30fps and that you only have a problem with that because there are some that could choose to spend some more money today and play the game with higher settings than what you are getting on your 3yr old PS4?

I'm kinda pissed at this. I thought that by buying the PS4 I was getting the best possible console this gen but it seems I got screwed over.

No worries trucks - I'm in the same boat too.

The PC version will come out within a few months to a year after the console version's release and it'll be more worthwhile waiting for that.

Damn.. you're optimistic (and patient). Its taken Square Enix this long to complete the game with a solid release date, and it still got delayed.

And to took just under 2 years for them to port over Lightning Returns to PC I wouldn't hold your breathe on that one...

OT: Hopefully we'll get some direct footage of both consoles to see the differences between them..
