Forums - Gaming Discussion - The Iphone 7 is the biggest joke I have ever seen, cost as much as two PS4 Pros, no headphone-jack

Exactley my opinion.

And also who pays 800 bucks for this thing? it cost as much two PS4 Pros like WTF? I dont get why people still hang on these overpriced Apple Phones, and people are complaining about the PS4 Pro Price and console upgrades when its no near as bad as these smartphones.

I mean think about it: the Iphone 7 cost two times as much as a PS4 Pro? You can buy a PS4 Pro and a PSVR headset for the same price, let this think in for a moment.

and yet people will line up a day in advance to get their hands on it...

And they exchange phones every 6mo to 1y against 3y to 6y. So it's obtuse to accept these phones prices and complain about consoles.

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

How many good phones can you get for 800$? You could have three or four very good phones for that price.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

While I agree that the new iphone is lolz worthy with its lack of a headphone Jack, I can see why people buy them.

Most people that buy iphones don't buy them at full price, majority will most likely go into a contract or go with Apple's Financing option of paying blah per month. So the initial price of the phones is a lot cheaper.

And then of course, phones in general are a necessity and it is nearly impossible to live without a phone these days. But it is more than possible to live without a console. Some people just choose an iphone cause it does more than your typical dumb phone and its apps library is the best there is. For example, I use Google Maps + GPS on my Galaxy S7 all the time to find new locations that I have never been to before. In order to do that before smartphones came out, I had to buy a seperate GPS thing which I had to pay a yearly subsciption in order to get Map updates.

So I can certainly see it.

Another thing. Shrink the PS4 down. Add a screen, figure out a way to run it with no fan cooling, have 256GB Flash onboard. It will then be $800-1000. The price is high, yeah. Not denying that. But the design and small scale does cause the product to be expensive.

Its a highly overrated status symbol.
Apparently thats enough.

But yeah... waste of money imo.

Perceived value rules the world, it's what drives consumer electronics. How the perceived value can be so high is beyond me though.

This. Also I find it random how we're comparing a mobile phone device to a gaming console. The mobile phone is first and foremost a phone, not a gaming device. We may as well compare a PS4P to a car or anything else at this point and it would be absurd.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Preaching to the choir but I'm the type of person that only talks or text on phone using basically zero apps ever. I just bring my 3DS with me to work if I want to game during breaks.
