A high end PC with a top end CPU and GPU (i7/GTX 1080) is borderline capable of playing current games in 4K at 60FPS. What makes you think that scorpio can handle games in 4K natively in a $400-500 machine? And 60 FPS as well..

You know it is the same with the old days about the resolution.

People are coming out with "omg this console can run games in 1080p natively" (or whatever resolution for whatever generation). But at the end it is not only about the resolution but all the details in the game etc...

I mean, I could run a 4k game on any device if this would be a simple game with 1 big square bouncing around the screen :)

Yeah current games running in 4K in a console sized box is a feat in itself, not to mention price/performance you're getting.

I'm sure MS studio's will fine tune most of their current games in development to run smoothly in 4K with things dialed up a notch or two.

No the claim is not stupid. Your request for a "list" is. If you felt like I was talking about you; then I'm sorry but I did not name anyone neither including every fans of a specific console. When someone says "all people doing something"; it is that: "all people doing that thing". I do not have a list, a name or anything but yes I saw some people doing that for sure on this forums or others.

I'm still one of those who prefers more details/better framerate and a lower resolution to a 4K resolution with less details/effects.

You are wrong, a high end PC struggles with 4k on high/ultra settings, you will see many tests where you tone down the quality, it will run it.
If the rumours are true, scorpio will have over 4 times the power, so any game that can run in 1080P on the Xbox One, or possibly 900P (since there is some wiggle room) should be possible in native 4K on the Scorpio using the same settings (so really only increasing the resolution).

Please not, we don't know ENOUGH about the Scorpio for anyone to really answer this question, we don't know how much memory it will have, what chipsets it will use (will it use Polaris, which seeems likely, or Vega?) we dont know how much the console will cost or what processor it will use (jaguar? zen? something else?)

So in the end, is it possible to run games on a 6Tflops PC (which is high end, since thats MORE then the 480RX does) in 4k? Yes!
Is it possible to run them in High/Ultra or settings... HELL NO, but thats not what Microsoft is selling here

In the the end, its a waiting game. When they release the specs, we will know.

People that do what you're doing here, and like zero129 does all the time, is lumping everyone from a single fanbase into a single blurry entity.

Some people may think 1080p is a big deal, and the XBO not reaching that spot for most of its game is a big deal to them.
Some people may think 4K is or is not a big deal to them, for different reasons.

Those two comments don't necessarily come from the same people. But people like you put every comments made by Sony fans in the same pot, and claim they come from the same source. But in truth, you can't even bring up a single occasion what you described ever occured. Because you take the Sony fanbase as a single blurry entity.

And comments like yours are always brought up to mock gamers from fanbases you respect less.
