Looks like native 4K won't be the norm or still compromised in other ways.

Now, similarly to what Sony said, that doesn't mean I'm going to require developers to do this. They're going to be able to decide to take that six teraflops of power and do what they think is best for their game. But I know that 4.2 teraflops is not enough to do true 4K. So, I feel like our product aspired a little bit higher, and we will have fewer asterisks around the 4K experiences we deliver on our box.

Anyway still not any wiser. Will FH3 run at 60fps on Scorpio, or 4K30 is gonna be it.

Anybody who buys an Xbox One today, they already are buying Scorpio games. There are already games that will look better and games that will be in 4K. So they're already invested in Scorpio. All their accessories work, and their account carries over, and it's going to be seamless.

Asked about 60fps:

Yeah. We had to pick a number. Why did you choose six teraflops? Why did you choose 384Gb/s in memory bandwidth? What's the point of those numbers? The point of those numbers was to deliver Xbox One-quality games in 4K. That's the point of those numbers. But we're not going to dictate to developers that that's how they have to use that power.

Who knows, back to waiting it out I guess.



The only way to decide this is having Phil Spencer and whoever runs Sony gaming have a cage fight via fisticuffs with the victor tbagging the loser 4K times at 30 frames per second.

What do people consider compromised? Native 4K HQ 30 fps locked? Native 4K Med/High IQ 60 fps? 2K HQ 60 fps?

This is a console. Very likely priced in the $400-$500 range.

Anyone expecting 4K Ultra 60 fps with every bell and whistle needs a reality check. There isn't a consumer grade GPU on the market capable of that now...without compromises.

Where do you think there fans get there ammo? 

Not exactly the specs, but the HW. No you don't need to explain it and it was more powerfull than the PowerPC in X360 (it even bridged the gap in GPU and made it possible to have better graphics in PS3 with worse GPU). One spokeman said "give me 60fps or give me death" (and this guys dealed more with indies than with AAA anyway), all other things were more on the talk about easy to program.

Are you seriously try to pretend Sony was doing this more than MS? MS used PC footage as in game for X1 games, their team in Europe advertised first party Sony games as Xbox games on their page. There is only as much you can defend MS from. MS talked about specs and power 10x more than Sony.

And the single case you point is the reconstruction of the 1080p in KZ MP? Come on, the SP is 1080p and the MP presents a reconstruction (that display natively at 1080p) that took a long time to be noted on 60fps for MP.

Yes mistakes happen, but they put like 2 or 3 games (not images) as exclusive to Xbox that were first party, the QA of the team was very off.

Im not defending MS, they do it aswell. However Sony since the PS2 days have been hyping up there specs more than iv seen in my gaming experinces. Sony promised 1080p and 60 frames for the PS4

Im okay with competition attacking eachother because that benefits us gamers. However being one sided and saying one can do it but the other cant is where i draw the line.

Just to add - PS4 had better hardware on paper however the 360 was better engineered and delievered better performance over the cause of last gen except afew exceptions. PS3's problem was its Ram where 360 had shared memory which made a big difference.
