So do they have any chance of winning? And did they beat Jim sterling in that case?

If they do, theres little to no justice in this world.

My disdain goes to all the involved parties.

To the so called developers. The steam community buying and thus supporting. And Valve letting this steam-ing pile of crap happen.

But not Jim fucking Sterling son. Thank god for him!

The case against Jim isn't over yet  but I doubt they have any chance. He's pretty much protected by fair use and freedom of critiquing.

I doubt Valve is going to play ball either.

The biggest mistake they made was the fact they are dragging Valve into this who has infinitely more (and expensive) lawyers on their side which gives them a big edge in this case.

Valve also likely has various agreements in place to prevent this sort of thing from happening which they can wave around in court.

They are also seeking legal action to sue Valve

Soo damn funny

Ironically they have a point about Valves quality control and moderation. If valves quality control was up to snuff they'd never have been allowed on steam in the first place and none of this would have happened.

Also, while this is a meltdown of epic proportions and sort of hilarious, the implicarions of that judge forcing valve to reveal private data of users, for leaving bad rewiews is troubling to say the least. If the judge is sypathetic to DigHoms cause, that would throw the door wide open for rampant anti consumerism and get rich quick schemes.

Negative rewiews could possibly be outlawed, with the threat of legal repurcussion always looming in the air. And giant companies strongarming lawsuits against average small consumers for not liking their producs.

Even now, if I was among those who had my address given out to those maniacs, I'd seriously fear for the well being of me and my family. DigHom are clearly unbalanced, so who knows what they'll do with these peoples private data.
