Forums - PC Discussion - Digital Homicide sues 100 Steam users for 18 million - Valve pulls all their games from the store

Oh god, I'm in tears. I just can't wait for Jim's Video about this.

With this they have cemented themselves as the most immature and idiotic game developers of all time (sorry Fish).

They are technically. In the same way I'm an athlete when I'm going up the stairs to my flat.

You don't have to be competent to be assigned a title.

This company is just shit. Its 100% about the money. They couldn't give two shits about gaming.

Really just sounds a crap developer who knows they make crap games, so they're trying to come up with any excuse they can to make money. PC community is probably the worst choice to do this to.

Well, its going to be an entertaining Jimquisition episode this week.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

"Sterling's case is dwarfed by the studio's most recent court filing in which James Oliver Romine Jr., Digital Homicide cofounder, is suing 100 anonymous Steam users for $18 million as compensation for "personal injury.""

Lol, what a shitshow. Denouncing users for bad reviews, they'll be very lucky if they aren't sued back.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Come join The 2018 Obscure Game Monthly Review Thread.

This is absolutely pathetic. This developer clearly can't take criticism well.

Digital Homicide is apparently now known as Digital Suicide. No, it's not my joke, just thought I'd share it since it's so fitting. When you anger Valve enough to make them remove all your games from sale, you know you've screwed up pretty badly. Also seems pretty delusional to think you could get any money from people just because they wrote negative reviews. And if your game is bad enough for people to write something that you can consider a 'personal injury', the chances are that your game is the bigger problem in the first place and can be considered an insult against everyone.

They're not just any crap developer. There have been many shitty developers that threatened legal action against slander but rarely any actually go through with it. This has been going on for years now and DH are so commited to this that it's almost admirable. They are the pinnacle, the worst, the stupidest of them all. There may be worse games on the steam store but most of them have the decency not torise to total douchedom.

To be fair, it's not just one game. It started with just another negative steam Review from Jim but subsequently all their games have been attacked by Jim and many steam users. It's actually amazing because we never had tantrums in this quantity before. usually shitty developers give up after they've been first criticized into oblivion by the community. DH really are something special.

Valve taking their games just now is actually a pitiful testament to their quality control. This developer should have been banned from steam since their first tantrum but Valve does not give a shit. They only act once it hits the fan, which is a really bad attitude. This whole dilemma was enabled and supported by Valve.
