telltale games is episodic, Telltale's "Batman" game is episodic.
Games like the FFXIII trilogy is not episodic, it is a multipart game, each game disc is full of 50-60 hours of content. Or do you think FFXIII is episodic too? Episodes are typically short games. Multi part however is normally three full games. A trilogy of full games if you like. You can't say a game like FF XIII is the same as a Walking Dead episode as that simply isn't true as one offers way more content.
Does this answer your question?

I don't think XIII is episodic, no. I think its 2 sequals to the first game. But FFVII isn't that. It's a single story beeing chopped in parts and sold as full price episodes.
The comparison to XIII would be to chop XIII into 3 games without any of the sequals.

To me, FFXIII is a single story chopped in 3 disc, and all I know about FFVIIR is that the main story is already there, and that SE is adding on to it.
Anyways based on what SE said about FFVIIR following the FFXIII 3-part game saga, that should mean it's not an episodic game. You also agree that FFXIII is not episodic, so I think you're contradicting youself here, unless of course SE is wrong then you'll be right.
