it could be even something better.....

Part 1 - Final Fantasy VII

Part 2 - Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core and Before Crisis flashback

Part 3 - Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus

I doubt that. But I really hope thats the case. Im not a big fan of the idea of dividing the full stury into 3 arcs.

I don't believe that early 2017 target date in the slightest.

Hmmm... Special edition PS4 incoming.

I think this is a very interesting part of the interview. Its a hint that SE is planning something very big for the Playstation 4, and after FF7 Remake I wonder what it could be.

Final Fantasy XVI online.

Just saw the gameplay trailer again. I am way more interested in this game than XV.

Expecting usual delay from Square Enix..

Saying that.. I can't wait to get my hands on this game, so hopefully the game comes sooner rather than later.

Thats very unlikely, FF14 Online is making tons of money atm and the next expension will launch 2017 ;)

Lol....early 2017... i think SE jist like throwing dates out there just for the heck of it

More like 2019......

Yeah, but it's THREE parts so I think they're legit this time.

First part early 2017....2nd part early/mid 2018 and the final part sometime in 2019. Seems logical to me.

That is absolute nonsense. What is the difference between episodic and multi-part here? Is it not episodic if it only has 3 episodes? Might want to inform TV series of that.

The game is obviously episodic. Its the main game divided in 3 parts. Its not 3 different stories with some connecting threads.

telltale games is episodic, Telltale's "Batman" game is episodic.

Games like the FFXIII trilogy is not episodic, it is a multipart game, each game disc is full of 50-60 hours of content. Or do you think FFXIII is episodic too? Episodes are typically short games. Multi part however is normally three full games. A trilogy of full games if you like. You can't say a game like FF XIII is the same as a Walking Dead episode as that simply isn't true as one offers way more content.

Does this answer your question?

I don't think XIII is episodic, no. I think its 2 sequals to the first game. But FFVII isn't that. It's a single story beeing chopped in parts and sold as full price episodes.

The comparison to XIII would be to chop XIII into 3 games without any of the sequals.

To me, FFXIII is a single story chopped in 3 disc, and all I know about FFVIIR is that the main story is already there, and that SE is adding on to it.

Anyways based on what SE said about FFVIIR following the FFXIII 3-part game saga, that should mean it's not an episodic game. You also agree that FFXIII is not episodic, so I think you're contradicting youself here, unless of course SE is wrong then you'll be right.

I think its quite the opposite. I'm not contradicting myself. Squeenix is lieing to your face in order to sell the game.
