Not even counting the "my life as" spin offs.

Crystal Chronicles is officially part of the franchise, while Bravely Default became its own "identity" after The Four Heroes Of Light on the DS. Crystal Chronicles tried something new for the franchise more than once, and although the games never reached their full potential (Explorers is a similar concept, I'll give them that), they could stand on their own as original yet spin offs. Bravely Default is just a rip off that was meant to be another Final Fantasy title.

Crystal Chronicles for me.

I loved the gamecube crystal chronicals. Still my favorite. For me they only lack a good story, since the first one their storys have gone down hill. While for braverly default I feel as I have outgrown turn base rpg's. I would have to choose crystal chronicals.

Flying Fairy is only on the non-EU versions I assume because in EU we got the second version of BD which was enhanced and had added features, from what I recall Flying Fairy is the original release. The enhanced version is simply called Bravely Default in EU.

CC started well, echoes of time is the best one I guess (Mana series), but it's not enough releasing anything under CC or Bravely I am not buying so I choose none

The story is awful enough to make me drop it, but the gameplay is amazing

Bravely Default is actually a true and ambitious RPG.

Crystal Chronicles was a ARPG spin off thrown by Square to get back together with Nintendo when Iwata opened its arm to them.

Crystal Chronicles was a small game, decent quality wise but nowhere near the level of Bravely default.
