Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony’s Andrew House Found Microsoft’s Response to the PS4 Pro “Quite Intriguing”

I haven't rolled my eyes this hard in a while. Thanks for that, House.

So basically he knows MS I'd right and only had a snarky comment to make about Twitter politics.

Power was such a important aspect for Sony this gen. Not only did they down played the XB1 in so many ways. They were the ones talking up 1080p. I wonder how they will go once that graphical advantage disappears.

Nothing at all.  They'll just continue enjoying outselling their competition 2:1.  Probably be 3:1 when all is said and done.

I find both sides of the competition intriguing. Back with the PS3, we had M$ fans saying bluray and physical media was dying so they were good without it. Sony fans said otherwise.
Now that streaming and digital is probably more common than physical bluray media, M$ fans are saying thr PS4P is lacking. Sony fans say they are good without it.

As for me, it's a nice hardware feature to have. I'm a little bummed out by it, but I'm fine with 4K Netflix and such. Although the games will not look as good as Scorpio's, PS4P will be the most powerful console for a year. The PS5 will probably follow a year after the Scorpio, and will kick off next gen first.

We have two companies with childish media-PR tendencies and the irony is that people react on that childish behavior with childish behavior.. It's just plastic and entertainment in the end of the day, No wonder why studies shows that "The size of the brain is physically shrinking" when there are people who are worried over plastic when there are more Dire things in life to focus onlike paying your bills, Eating healthy  taking care of yourself and family. 1 world problems will implode on itself simply because it's no longer sustainable when people stop prioritizing real values in trade foe something as simple as entertainment which does it's purpose as entertainment but don't let it suck up your life so much you feel you have to defend it, cause there is nothing to defend, it's a choice.

Corporate-Capitalism sure got the power they wanted haha, especially since there are babies starving to death cuz "Parents can't stop playing Videogames for like a hour"

I am not blaming anyone but there are some here who need to wake up, it's not emotionally good to be attached to a consumer-product

Clearly, MS needs Sony's PERMISSION to launch the most powerful game console and/or publicize that fact.
LOL.
In all honesty, I don't think the difference will be big enough to counter Sony's sales lead.
But it could very well be enough to at least maintain MS' position, especially among most avid gamers.
Many of those will still have a PS4 for Sony exclusives,
but Scorpio may convince some of them not to go for PS4 Pro, and end up buying Scorpio version of x-platforms.
Curious when MS will get into more details though... Most specifically CPU, but overall finalized spec details too.
Being able to also show off what the power will do for games will be most effective IMHO.
And I guess the sooner the finalized specs are out, the sooner Sony can factor that in to their "PS5" spec/schedule.

They have a back and forth, not seeing the big deal.

Although it is funny they tweet about having the best games and then Recore comes out right after.

By "they" you mean people on the internet? Because I don't recall Sony making a fuss about that.
And not having the graphical advantage would be nothing new for Sony.  PS2 was weaker than both GC and Xbox, and it sold more than any console in history.

It seems like Microsoft are up to their antics again. Spencer is a cool guy, so I assume those tweets are on the same vein as Greenberg's.
