Have you seen Shaun of the dead and The end of the world? |
*The World's End
- Laurel & Hardy (I have all their short and long movies on DVD, best comedy duo in movie history)
- Jack Lemmon & Walter Matthau
(in their first three movies together: The Fortune Cookie, The Front Page, The Odd Couple)
- Paul Newman & Robert Redford
(in their two movies together: Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, The Sting; they are no comedians, but the excellent screenplays gave them plenty of funny buddy moments)
- Monty Python (best TV comedy team ever)
Best duo played by one person in one movie:
- Danny Kaye (movie: The Court Jester - Kaye actually plays just one person, Hubert Hawkins, but it feels like they are two, one of the best comedy performances ever)
Most favorite modern duo:
Tina Fey & Amy Poehler (as hosts of award shows)

Shaun of the Dead was alright. I believe I enjoyed it (been awhile since I've seen it). Not sure if I have seen The World's End. I'm a little picky when it comes to my humor. Like when Napoleon Dynamite took off when it was released. I saw it before nationwide release and thought the movie was meh. I believe I laughed only a few times when I first saw it. Perhaps if I smoked more weed I would have enjoyed it more.
Lot of great choices, I like a lot of them...but for me nobody can match Pythons.
Pythons are awesome but i also loved Pryor / Wilder. For the record I liked Shaun of the Dead better than Hot Fuzz.

Movies or songs? I thought that new one "Popstar, never stop never stopping" was hilarious, |
Movies, songs and TV sketches. Popstar was amazing! Almost as funny as Spinal Tap.
