Forums - General Discussion - When did you join VGChartz?

I joined when Wii Fit was a serious contender in the console war market and people were still waiting for FFXV and Duke Nukem Forever was still in development.

So November 2008. I also recognize some people here! Some people do not change their avatars!

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

I joined on December of 2015, but before 2015's E3 I was not aware of gaming news. I did not knew about the console war or the E3. I thought that people would not fight because of console vs console vs PC

November 29th 2010 for the game database.
I was following it since '07 as that other sales tracking site was terrible. (What was it called?)

Nowadays the game database is gone as well as sales tracking, not even NDP numbers anymore, hmm....

The good old days, can't see a difference between 720p and 1080p, upscaled dvds are as good as blu-ray, Nintendo is doomed. Oh wait, nothing has changed.

I joined for the game database, sales tracking. I recall those exact PS3 vs 360 arguments haha!!!

How much did the PS1 even sell in Brazil? Did you play LoD in its original form or did you use emulators?

I don't have a clue of how many PS1s were sold here, but it was a good bunch, it's was pretty popular.
When things were still going for the system here, actual stores would sell burned copies rather than originals, it was just too expensive to people to get, so yeah, I've bought the game on the time but it was not an original copy, and played it on my PS1. It was defective (the second disc) and I needed to get it again years later.
Nowdays I have an original copy.

So, how was the PS1 able to play burned games? Was it modded?

Yep, that's what I meant when I said that I joined when the site was still blue and good. Good times.

According to those sales figures, the picture must have been captured the week after Fable II release.
