This is not true.

Raising a child does not work that way. Yes, you can stop time, consider the child a simple variable and compare the circumstances and run with it. You cannot however stop time in real world and the child is not a simple variable but infinite. The optimal enviroment for raising a child cannot be subjectively defined. It is not uncommon that couples divorce and go their separate ways after a child is born. Some couples just cannot get over the troubles no matter how rosy their life was prior. What matters is what will happen after the child is born. Talk is cheap, actions count.

I don't know.  Wouldn't being better off financially be almost a universal leg up when having a child?  It can let you focus on raising the child rather than just surviving and possibly neglecting him/her as you try to make ends meet with multiple jobs or crappy 3rd shift jobs that don't pay enough.

It is completely dishonest to say that all things being equal the first scenario on face value is objectively a much superior scenario

Nothing is indeed guaranteed, but it is absolutely ridiculous to live by that notion and never consider your options. You can always weigh one situation against another and come to a good prediction, an educated guess, a decent estimation. If I bring my umbrella, I will most likely be protected by the rain. Working to reduce risks and trying to be prepared is not unrealistic, nor is it too much to ask for.

Obviously cases differ from eachother, but to just throw everything out because one comparison is unfair to another is silly.

I never said you shouldn't consider your options, that's what I'm actually trying to do. Consider whether to have the baby or not. You can do comparisons all day. This was specifically about money. The options money provide are very limited, I'd say the outcome is not determined by wealth and thus it should not hold much weight.

Raising a child is a lot more complex to a humans life than simply trying to avoid getting soaked, on multiple levels. While nothing is guaranteed, you can still greatly change the outcome of what happens when there is rain. The more money, the more umbrellas, the better chance. You only really need to do two decisions, buy an umbrella and carry it with you all times. Now go on and try to predict human life. It's a bit more broad than risk of rain, I'd say the variables blow up in your face. You won't make it far raising a child using predictions until the odds beat you.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

Yes the first scenario is superior in every way in this imaginary example. This example however assumes you neglect your child because you have crappy job. Things are not set in stone like that.

Its mainly based on my relief that I'll be able to hace a child in a stable home later on in life, not with some friend I slept with once but someone I care about etc. Having a child should be a happy experience between 2 adults.

Not a pseudo adult manchild and a mentally ill woman xD

Well the pseudo bit I'm hoping will go away as I'll stay a manchild forever as manchildren make the best fathers.

Well, as an older gent, I waited a real long time for marrage and child, and now have had a child 7 1/2 year old. Ya just don't know untill you have a child how much of a love you will have for that person. I would kill for her and that's about it. Wife, Mom, Dad, Brother Sis, friend just do not compare, it's kinda crazy and hard to explain to anyone with out a child. I would have made a terrible father at 21 and probably would be doing the same thing as you. But if I had to I'm sure  after having my daughter, I would never forget about that time when I was 20 for the rest of my life.

It can be done school, child, etc it's just going to be fucking a little harder.

Its a tricky situation, regardless.

It seems you have made a confident decision and that's what matters. You also have positive outlook and it could be this event even cleared some thoughts. Let's hope your friendship with this girl did not get damaged and good luck to your studies.

All I can say is that becoming a father has made me a happier person. It can be challenging yet it's the best feeling there is. Plus I get to play in the sand again and build huge sandcastles in the park without someone calling the police :) Yet don't mind me, bit emotional atm since both are in school already. Time flies.
I kinda wish I had kids a lot earlier, I'll be hitting 60 by the time I get to play with my grand kids, 70 if my kids wait that long too :/ I was too busy with work before. That's all not important anymore.

Find a sane girl! Don't wait too long if you want to have kids.

We spoke today, we're okay. She's still kind of struggling from the situation and how it ended but we're good.

And thanks man, I appreciate it!

So what happened? Is the fetus removed yet?

I'm 53 years old and have made some extremely expensive child support payments over the long haul. Here is some really good advice. WEAR A CONDOM NEXT TIME. Best investment ever.
