When I was younger, not everyone I knew loved Naruto to death(or even liked it). However, the fighting games are solid. Filled to the top with content, story mode, loads of characters, etc.

Think of it this way- fillers or longer waits? Nowadays fillers are basically gone in the anime, however people complain due to them wanting something. Can't satisfy everyone.

I agree with you though. Some of the fillers make me question life.

Remove fillers and you get about 300-400 episodes. whatever floats your boat man. You can also read it. I watch it because the fights are badass. Not just that, but I like seeing it in colour(plus voices).

Never reached Boruto yet. Probably gonna ignore it though. I think Kishimoto should leave it at Naruto becoming hokage and having a new manga series being made.

Currently at the near ending(where you see Tobi+Madara). While the Akatsuki were simply amazing, I don't hate it that much.

People say the ending is bad, but they're vague. By the ending, do they mean the last 1/3? Or ending as in the last several chapters(or 20ish episodes in terms of anime)?

Yeah, because on the internet there's 832094830942809283x more haters than the amount you see in real life.

Liked the anime for a few years. I don't hate it today but I've lost interest in it like I did for Bleach before that got cancelled.

I liked kid Naruto, could not finish Shippuden. OST was really good, not Samurai Champloo type, but good.

Can't remember, it was a PS2 game.

Problem is, when it comes to fighting games, I don't play only because of the fights. I need to choose a character that I can relate, a character that I like. For example, Yuka or Satomi in Advanced V.G. They have wonderful stories, I feel a lot of sympathy for them. Or the characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl like Mario, Kirby and Sonic. I grew up with their games, I love them.

However, if I was to play a fighting game with characters that I don't like, or I don't know, I will not be able to enjoy the experience. If I was to play Naruto right now, I would probably enjoy it a lot less than I should.

You know the reason I don't play Mortal Kombat? It's not the gameplay. It's the fact that there's not a single character that I feel any sympathy in the franchise.

Why don't you watch Naruto as a kid then(or read if you don't like the fillers/flashbacks/pacing)?

Shippuden is a 50/50 for people. As for the original, a lot of people have considered it a great manga/anime. maybe that'll help you connect with them in a way

Around Ep 362. I know how it all ends btw. I know how Diamond is unbreakable ends despite me still watching the anime, though that one doesn't really do arcs the way Bleach, One Piece and Naruto do, in a way that puts me off wanting to watch more as well as keeping me entertained.

I don't necessarily dislike Naruto. There are plenty of good moments in the series, but it suffers from terrible pacing and being filled with cheesy fillers. It also drags on a bit too long as a whole.

The thing is, nowadays animes removed fillers(or made it <20% of the anime). People stopped complaining about that, but now people complain about long waits for new content.

Unfortunately it's either wait for canon or high quality content, or wait and get cheesy fillers while waiting.

As for pacing, I'd say the worst parts for pacing was the beginning of the chunin exam in Part 1 and when they see Sasuke for the first time in Part 2. They were so boring for me. I found the Ostrich Ninja to be more entertaining than both of the arcs(chunin exam only got good after the forest thing ended).

I watched Bleach when I was very young(right when it came out), and I remember One Piece when I was a kid as well. For Bleach, I remember something about people being Shinigamis and badass fights. For One Piece, I recall being bored by it(except for the funny parts). Then again, that was back in, what, '06 I think. Hard to believe it was 10 years ago.
