Forums - Gaming Discussion - RANT: Just lost 15 rocket league games in a row.

Yeah I'm almost Master, and I'm not even in Challanger yet in Solo Standard because I'm just in awful teams. I'm the MVP on my team by over 300/400 points each game and I just went back to Solo Duel after a while

Wow, 15 in a row.

I get seriously depressed when I lose 3 in a row in Age of Empires 2.

Always blame your team mates, that is going to make you better.

Rumble just released and all "casual" players are on there. Ranked is only played by self-titled "core" players now who are way more into the game and might not have reached their actual rank since the season reset yet. I've never played against Rocketeers before and while you may say the level doesn't tell anything about skill those guys I've seen yesterday were way better but still in challenger ranks.

How is possible to lose 15 in a row.

I don't know, statistically that's legitimately almost impossible in solo 3v3... assuming each team has a 50% chance of winning (which should be the case) the chance of losing 15 times in a row is... 0.003%

This is a very sad day. :<

Thanks that makes me feel really good about myself.

Basically this.  Every team I played they always had 1 back at all times.  Every team I played with,  unless I stayed back the entire game we had nobody back. I'm better at attacking then defending so I'm being wasted as a keeper for the entire game, with only the odd incursion forward.

I just can't understand how after 15 games I hadn't played with a single defence minded player and the opposite team we're nearly always set up at the back.

Play Duel Mode. That way, it's a true test of skill.

Today I learned that playing Rocket League is basically playing Splatoon.

I've never played Rocket League online, only SARPBC, the predecessor on PS3 - but that's something I got angry about quite a few times as well. And I believe that's one of the easiest ways to tell if a player has little or much experience:

The good, experienced players very well understand the importance of defence, that defence is ultimately more important than offence, especially when playing against good opponents.

It's quite similar to real world soccer: Everyone wants to be a striker who is cheered at for shooting goals. The goalkeeper is a much more important position, but it's also much less popular, because instead of being cheered at for shooting goals, he's booed at whenever he doesn't manage to stop a ball.

Don't get me wrong folks I've probably played rocket league on over 100 hundred different days. I'm almost a master at rank 50 and I've scored thousands of goals. My stats show I've one over 50% of my games.

Someone pointed out I'd a 0.03% chance of losing 15 in a row. And remember in ranked you play with and against completely different players every game so it's not like unranked where you could be replaying the same good team every match.

The worst thing about this was, I was playing really well. It just felt like a fucking curse.

I've gone on 10 game win streaks and 7/8 game lose streaks but that's unranked and generally when I've a bad team against a great team. Losing 15 just felt like a fucking curse.

Even today when I was playing my football match, when the ball was down the other end of the pitch I was thinking of last night to myself.

Hopefully it never happens again, because I'm very competitive in life and don't like losing. Last night was hard to take.

Reminds me of that time I played Halo: Reach online. I was with my uncle, my brother and my uncle's cousin and we lost every single time, after multiple tries. After my brother fell asleep, we switched to the 4 team online mode, and ended up coming in last place. My uncle's cousin was really pissed, but I thought it was more hilarious than anything.
