Shocked the world? I think that's a bit of an overexaggeration...

As for the poll;
What is the largest TV you own, in inches? 32 inches
Is your largest TV 1080p or 4K? 1080p, I think.
Is your largest TV HDR capable? No idea, maybe? What's HDR?
How likely are you to own a large format UHD 4K TV in the next two years? 0%
How likely are you to buy UHD Blu-rays in the next two years? 0%

Yeah, I was just exaggerating... but there are a lot of threads on the topic.

HDR = High Dynamic Range.  You won't have that on a 1080p TV I think.

I must not be part of the world since I was not shocked.

- What is the largest TV you own, in inches? 65 inches
- Is your largest TV 1080p or 4K? 4K
- Is your largest TV HDR capable? Yes it is
- How likely are you to own a large format UHD 4K TV in the next two years? Already do and pining to use it for proper 4K
- How likely are you to buy UHD Blu-rays in the next two years? Extremely, it's the only way to get proper, uncompressed UHD and not the cheap, flimsy alternative in streaming

UHD Blu-ray is beautiful. HDR is actually incredible.
Their is no comparison to streaming. Not even close.

- What is the largest TV you own, in inches? 55 Inches (Two of them)
- Is your largest TV 1080p or 4K? 4K (Both)
- Is your largest TV HDR capable? Yes (One)
- How likely are you to own a large format UHD 4K TV in the next two years?
Already own two

 - How likely are you to buy UHD Blu-rays in the next two years? Unlikely. Regardless of the arguments otherwise, I've had great success with Sony's ULTRA service. Working as a TV salesman who is constantly exposed to 4K HDR content, I can definitively say that there isn't enough of a difference to warrant an interest in an expensive player or another console to do so. I may get one when they become affordable, but the answer for now is no.
