Below 300k for XBOS? Hmmm. I predicted it would be just over after reading Abdiel's assessment. That's solid for August, but not strong at all for newer hardware. Considering a lot of those are rebuys.

I gotta admit, flags went up after not hearing anything about sales numbers, and discounts and deals kicking in already. The only thing we had was "sold out in the UK". Which didn't really mean much without knowing how many they shipped in context.

I guess the time to move them will be Black Friday. But there's so many Xbox One units out there on top of the new ones. They're gonna have to something drastic to clear them.

Yup. All we have is Cosmic saying it's the Xbox's best August since 2011 (which means < 308k and > 202k), and when someone said "Xbox One hit the 300k mark, that's good", he replied with "You sure?" So yeah, 300k > XB1 > 202k

Yeah big margin because I'd consider close to 200k bad and close to 300k alright.  looking forward to finding out.
