Who's saying that?

Nintendo's events are always a bit more interesting to me because Iwata (R.I.P.) and Miyamoto have the enthusiasm of kids and a certain charm to them.
Miyamoto had the Apple crowd roaring with laughter by showing how you could play Super Mario Run with one hand and eat a hamburger in the other hand simultaneously.
That's just Nintendo's personality.
That said, none of that really has much/any bearing on a product's success.

Conferences outside of E3 can't be entertaining then huh? |
Yeah they can and they are. They're called Paris Games Week, PSX and TGS. Including E3 that's 4 entertaining conferences a year.

Then there's no excuses really.

Thread.
To know the difference between a meeting and an event.
If you want to compare something to direct it would be PSX at the end of the year.
I don't really understand why people expected some huge video game announcements at the meeting. TGS is right around the corner, so it kinda makes sense to save the new stuff until then.

Yeah no excuses to complain. Sony have been the most entertaining by a country mile this gen with conferences. And the sales are backing that up. The people are entertained!

Wii sales say the 2 don't necessarily correlate. It could just be the PS4 is a good product at a good price.
The fact of the matter is 98% of the people who buy any given console never watch any of these press conferences.
There are press events for many products you buy -- sneakers, cars, hell probably laundry detergent, I doubt you are aware of press events for that. For "normal" people, video games are the same thing.
Apple probably has the most watched press events, and even those I would doubt any more than 5% of actual iPhone buyers watch keynote addresses.

It should include why it shouldn't be entertaining or fun.
