How many times has a smart phone or ipod been saved by the earphone wire after being dropped.

The old headphones should connect with the adapter that is included with the phone.

Didn't watch totally faithfully, but waht adapter. Are you saying I need to carry a little box in my pocket or ssomething that connects wirelessly to the phone that my headphones plug into?

If so, yea that is super great. Nothing one likes more than to carry around extra accessories.

Its this thing but you get it free with every iphone 7.

You also can't charge and listen to music at the sametime if you have a wired headphone.

Poor iphone 7 users

Is there a reason behind not listening to music while charging? It's not a big deal to me or people I know, but I don't get it.

I would 100% guaranteed lose them. I already manage to lose my normal iphone earbuds... and then pay 149$ to replace them? Yea no. I'm sticking to my trusty iPhone 5S for another two and a half years and then I'm switching to Android, or an iPhone SE if it has proper headphone jacks.

I say go to 5SE if you desire a high quality phone which is very small.

If you want a huge phone, go for the new LG V20. The V10 was simply amazing, so I can imagine the V20 simply being much better. I'd say Samsung, but in all honesty, I'm getting tired of all the bloatware. If the V20 was available at the time, would've gotten that instead of my current phone.

Oneplus is also a great option. I think it's 5.2 inches for the newest phone, so if you want the middle size, I'd say that's a good(and affordable) option.

At the end of the day when my phone is on low battery, I put it on charge, plug my headphones in and listen to music or watch youtube videos.

So yeah, it's a big deal to some people.

Looks like everyone is upset at change. Get over it. We need to have courage/balls and move forward with changes or else we are doom. Besides, a lot of people actually love the new ear buds.

Chances are if you're charging your phone you have a laptop or another device that has music. Use it instead. I heard that charging while listening to music can overheat your device and cause issues. A problem people don't know about.

I'm surprised they didn't make the Iphone 7 a note as well.

They could have then added in a $200 iPen.

"With the revolutionary Iphone 7 Stylus/Iphone 7+ Stylus, you gain a truly unique experience which has never been attempted before*. With the basic models, you miss out on this one-of-a-kind device which has a high tech, all glass pen which you'll probably break after a week. For only $250 more than the 600 dollars you're already spending, you gain the benefit of the iPen. Starting at $1,200, this bargain will truly be the future in your hands that is until you drop it one week later and ruin it because your dumb ass couldn't get a damn case or screen protector when getting the phone. Besides, the newest iphone will be garbage once the newest Iphone rumours come in(cough cough already iPhone 8 speculation, says a lot about the iPhone 7).

Well, the wired headphones and headphone jack connects to the same port which the charger also connects to so... People really can't actually do it.

If you mean why Apple did it like that. Apple's reasoning is that there wasn't enough space inside the iphone to fit everything along with the 3.5mm headphone jack. As to why they didn't just make the phone slighty fatter like the Galaxy S7 (and maybe have a better battery) or longer to fit is beyond me.

If I had to guess, they probably want everyone to buy their expensive arse wireless headphones which use their own proprietary wireless module (instead of something that is industry standard) and those R&D money into stupid shit ain't gonna pay for themselves.

It will sell at least 5m times to people who just buy it so that they can show other people that they own it.

I guess that is a big part of Apple's thinking while designing new products.
