Was a cool show, hoped for a new game announcement, but that's o.k...the games will be next week;)

Did you forget the One S?

The One S i everything the PS4 Pro is that I saw and might even be more.

They did not mention if the PS4 Pro can play UHD 4k Blu Ray movies.

But the Xbox One S is $100.00 cheaper, or $50 cheaper for same HDD size. It upscales to 4k, has hdr, does native 4k content like Netflix and (youtube?), and also does Amazon Video in 4k and plays 4k blu rays.

Tell me what PS4 Pro does that Xbox One S doesn't?

And One S has been out for some time, this doesn't come out till what Nov did I hear?  Scorpiron don't have to exist if all MS wants to do is match the Neo(Pro)

LOL!!! Are you serious? The One S isn't even as powerful as the regular PS4. xD

While the PS4 Pro is more than twice as powerful as the regular PS4.

Drop the kool-aid.

Twice as powerful. Those are empty words. Having double the gpu or wahtever doesn't make something that much better.

Watchign those trailers and gameplay, did ANYTHING look like night and day compared to what you have been seeing for those games for months now on PS4 trailers?

PS4 Pro is more powerful, no?

It's more powerful maybe. In the same way that the PS4 is more powerful than the Xbox One.

A few extra fps or pixels. Who cares. They are never game breaking differences, and usually only noticable when watching some frame rate video.

They both will get the same games, play them nearly identical.

It is basicall just a X Box One S, Sony version.

Scorpio is just PS4 Pro, Xbox version

That presentation was really dry, but I think that's the best thing they could of done. It was a simple announcement, there is no way anyone doesn't understand what this about. It's a big change, so for Sony to hit this crystal clear is far more important in the long run than doing a flash E3 type of show.

And HDR for everyone is great.

This is what a lot of people is not getting. If Sony would've gone to the path of making a flashy show just for a small announcement, it would've felt pointless. PS4 Pro and announce its capabilities, that's it. Most of the people think that the flashiness of the show equals to how good the show was, and it's quite annoying to see.

The games had much better picture quality. What do you expect from the Scorpio? I can assure you if you didn't see much of a difference with the games presented today, you won't see much differences from the games running on the Scorpio either.

That didnt take long.

The PS4.... eveey single PS4 including the og and the slim is exactky what the XB1s is whej they getbtheir HDR update.  However, dont forget that the XB1s is steal nowjere nesr as powerful as the og PS4.

PS4p is its own thing. But yh, keep living in denial.

Scorpio sounds like it is much more powerful beast, but it will remain to be seen exactly what the specs of the ps4p are.

I've never once said I expected it to be like E3. It would have been better had they put this in their E3 rather than this boring event. Good try though.

You went into the meeting expecting things they never suggested or promised.

Although I can tell how this conversation will go with the childish "good try though". Adorable.

You got yourself upset, and now you are upset people are pointing it out.

@ bolded: Actually you are the only one that has even attempted to say that I made myself dissapointed, so instead of trying to act like you're speaking for anyone else you should probably take a look and see it's just yourself.

Also take a look around, i'm not the only one saying that the conference was boring or underwhelming. Maybe saying it felt pointless was a bit hyperbole on my part, though I did mention it got the point across though.  So I guess according to your logic a lot of people are upset at the apparent "hopes they were never promised". I don't see you responding to the people that are saying they're dissapointed RDR2 wasn't shown.

I have nothing to be upset about either. You can think whatever you want if it makes you happy, still doesn't change the fact that the conference was really boring. I know the conference wasn't for new games, but I never said that's what I was dissapointed about. I just said that I felt like it was a boring conference and had they at least had a big "And here's [new game here] to show what the PS4 Pro can truly do" that would have made it a lot better.

Dude, not even just the conference itself but I feel like the PS4 Pro itself was dissapointing. I wasn't blown away by it or anything, i'm perfectly fine with my regular PS4. Most of the new features they talked about for the PS4 Pro are the things that the Xbox One S can do right now, which is just a smaller version of the regular Xbox One.

I'm not in denial. I waited till today to see which one to buy. The Xbox One S or the PS4 Neo (now Pro)

This conference showed me absoultely NOTHING that sets this Pro above the Xbox One S. NOTHING. Heck, it might even be lacking the sole reason I want a new system. Something to play 4k Blu Rays. Sony said nothing in regards to if it could or not.

So tell me why I should spend and extra $100 for the Pro.

Am I broke? No. I just spent over 3k on a new TV. I can handle buying the Pro at its cost. But I'm also not loose with my money. I don't spend needlessly on something when there is something else completely equivalent for cheaper. (and as I said, can do what I want. The Pro for all I know can't play 4k blu rays)

That's the state of gaming right now. We've reached diminishing returns ever since the end of the 7th gen.
