Probably strawberries.

I like a lot of fruits, other favorites are watermelons, mangos (though I hardly ever eat them), mandarins, cherries, grapes or pineapples. The fruit I eat most though are bananas but that's basically just because they're convenient. When I was in Southeast Asia they had this fruit kind of like a big grape, about ping-pong-ball sized, a bit snotty but the taste, wow. Forgot the name.

I'm surprised by the lack of melon in this thread, and watermelon showing up several times. I think that in Spain the consensus is melon > watermelon.

I'm surprised that either have shown up at all. Eating what is effectively just a food form of water isn't really that enticing when there's fruit that actually taste like stuff out there...

Well, this post could explain some of it. It seems that british melons are as bad as their national football team.

Strawberries by far.

And I must say I'm quite disappointed they didn't make the poll despite some fruit that doesn't even have a taste making it...

I'm amazed Papaya is up there... They made us try some in School when I was about 5... I almost died. I should have sued.

I love mangoes but their as messy as hell to eat.

Strawberry's and they're not in the poll.

It may have something to do with the country/clime. Spain is a warm country and drinking a lot of water is a must. Melons and watermelons make that a bit less tedious, plus you can put them in the fridge and be a very refreshing way to end your meal without having to resort to ice-cream.

That said, I have to disagree with you. Watermelons have very little taste, but melons do not only have taste, but they taste great .

A bit offtopic, but since this is a StarOcean thread...

Don't use your best serrano ham for this.
