I was expecting wilder M$ deals the last week.... They really schould stop focusing on "advertising" how the unexistant spec speculated scorpio is more powerfull than the ps4Pro, doing more true 4k than it and start thinking about  strategies to win this holiday season lol.

they already did and have a great strategy to win the holidays

biggest exlusive lineup
biggest 3rd party marketing deals
best console for $299
4k blu-ray and streaming for all the 4k tv buyer (and there will be a lot of them!) this holiday

they already won july and august npd. they will win september and october npd.
they'll probably lose november, but have a good shot at december

q2 2016 xbox one sales will be > ps4 sales

Why are you adding bundles that aren't even being sold by Amazon?

They are, but they keep popping up sporadically and Amazon has just changed the links in the game description. The Kinect bundle appeared a while back as did the Name you game bundle but they've never been listed. I'm just waiting for a more accurate list and then I'll adjust. As of right now I'm simply adding bundles that crop up or have been linked to Amazon on another website.

They cant sell you a scorpio yet... for another 12months or so.

So instead all their left with is trying to slow down sony's sales of the PS4 pro. Thats why theyre doing the trash talk, its all they have.

They have 15 SKUs on market, and are trying to get rid of the oldest bundles, by setting them down to 229$.

Can you explain to me -- given the data available here and the fact Amazon hasn't been wrong -- how you have come to the conclusion that the XB1s will win Sep? I'll just agree to disagree on all the other 'stuff'.

biggest exlusive lineup  *this probably isnt true, if you mean all games.
biggest 3rd party marketing deals  *bigger than CoD?
best console for $299 *PS4 slim is more powerfull, makes less noise. Has better games comeing in 2017.
4k blu-ray and streaming for all the 4k tv buyer (and there will be a lot of them!) this holiday

Going by Amazon they lost September. So far this gen, I dont think amazon has once been wrong about who takes NPD's.

Also of those 4 advantages you listed, I think only the 4k blu-ray (tv) one is right.

He looks like some kind of alt account, dont fall for it :D

  • MS has a chance for September, though I think its slim now that sony is shifting old PS4 content to make way for slim.
  • Oct should be sony's based on VR and buzz, I expect the slim to start pulling its weight as original PS4 stock takes over
  • November has to be Sony's right, with the Pro pre-orders, not sure how MS can outsell them there.
  • December, I still think thats Sony's because people will be wanting pro's.
So overall I think MS has a chance to win 1 or 2 months, but would expect that to be very close (i.e like that one month where MS won by 7k), and then Sony just kicks ass as the pro comes out, so no way will MS 2016 sales for the year beat Sony.

About the underlined ...

The PS4 has been in the lead for most of this month with three SKUs: PS4/PS4s/PS4p. The price drop of the COD bundle has simply moved the traffic from a direct split to one that's heavily favouring the cheaper console. Once the cheaper console is sold out then the Slim will rise again. The fact the COD bundle has now risen has absolutly no baring on the final result, it was already in the bag.

Read that in a quiet, peaceful voice with no animosity attached.

because the ps4 slim is doing poorly
because the ps4 slim is only sold 2 1/2 weeks for the 5 week tracking period.
because the ps4 sold only about 40k weekly in july and august. and that is also the baseline for the frist 2 september weeks. or maybe even lower, like japan
because hardcore gamer don't upgrade to the ps4 slim
because the casual audience did not know about the ps4 slim before launch and the marketing is very slow
because last year, the ps4 pricecut in october did not move any significant amount of units. the sales happend one moth later on black friday

because the ps4 slim did nothing in uk at launch
"Retail banks on FIFA 17 to rejuvenate stagnant market

Retail buyers are banking on FIFA and Xbox One S to revitalise a struggling physical games market.

Last week’s major releases - including the new PS4 and PES 2017 - failed to rejuvenate the sector after a summer of low sales.

No Man’s Sky was a bright spot in a difficult period for boxed games, which included the worst sales month on record in July, and the lowest weekly figure for physical games - £3.9m was generated in the week ending September 10th, over half a million below the previous all-time low [GfK figures).

Sales were expected to improve last week with the arrival of an updated PS4, plus seven new games. Yet fewer than 85,000 new boxed releases were sold for the week ending September 17th.

But leading retailers are expecting a huge improvement over the coming weeks thanks to the Xbox One S launch and arrival of FIFA 17. Furthermore, retailers tell MCV that early pre-orders of the PS4 Pro in November are ‘extremely positive’.

“Xbox One S interest seems high. We may see 25,000 sales Week One,” said one leading games retail boss. “FIFA 17 pre-orders are also ahead of the curve our end.”

right now everything points towads the ps4 slim doing poorly at launch

all ps4 exclusives are delayed. so xbox has gears and  froza, sony again has no (big) excluive titel this holiday
yes, bigger than cod. MS has BF1, Titanfall, Fifa and Madden. Sony only has CoD
the ps4 slim is more powerful? it does not even have 4k or any other benefit over the original ps4. more powerful? if you care about power, you go for the ps4 pro. not a single person will choose a ps4 slim over xbox one s due to being slightly more powerful. they will go for the ps4 pro or don't care about it
better games in 2017? well 2017 exlusive lineup for xb1 and ps4 is on par or personal preference.

You're a brave man betting against Amazon but I suppose it could be wrong. There's always a first time.
