Forget about the form factor let's talk about the games.

There are going to be surprises, but this are some confirmed games and rumored games plus a bit of wishful thinking.

4. Super Smash Bros NX (new content)

5. Pikmin 4 (exclusive)

10. Tekken 7

Already have a ps4 to play Mass Effect, so I'd wait more

I'll need more of a commitment from Nintendo to buy an NX rather than a good launch line up, so ill likely wait a few years.

Nope, no chance of day 1 buy without Animal Crossing.

Already have a PS4 for most of those and with the exception of Zelda none of those Nintendo games interest me at all. Gonna go with no.

The thing with me is... I generally buy Nintendo handheld/console at launch regardless of their launch titles because I know that eventually, I will get the games that I want. Now if NX has a console version with shared library, I will just buy (assuming cheaper) handheld at launch and not really bother with the console at all. But if the NX is a handheld like the one from Eurogamer's rumor, I will also buy it at launch.

The only thing that will prevent me from buying it at launch is if the price of the handheld is $250+ and/or if it has a subscription service for online like PSN and XBL

that's an overly hopeful launch list, they are never going to launch with like 4 of their big series out of the gate (Pikmin, Super Smash Bros, Luigi's Mansion). Also Beyond Good & Evil 2 will only ever be an NX exclusive if Nintendo has paid for its production

Before I'll even consider buying an NX, Nintendo has to demonstrate the following:

(1) That it won't have game droughts like the Wii U did.

(2) That they'll make more ambitious and epic games this time, instead of play-it-safe stuff like 3D World and Tropical Freeze.

(3) Continuing from 2, that they'll actually make games for it that aren't E-rated cartoons.

(4) Breath of the Wild has to come to Wii U. If it doesn't, I will never buy from Nintendo again.

No day one purchase for me, though if they are getting this much support, I would be keeping my eye on what games are coming in the future
