Yes, many retailers were reporting Sony wasn't restocking the old PS4.

That's pretty dumb from Sony. They should have at least announced the Slim/Neo/whatever before they stopped shipping the OGPS4.

It's not dumb at all. Sony also mentioned there may be shortages. So, cut stock ready for the Slim/Neo, announce there could be shortages of the PS4 which then clears out the stock faster, and then announce the Slim/Neo. Clear stock, ramp up interest. Good move.

I'm here to remind you that Week 1 sales number for 14 is better than XIII. It is quite close to GG Xrd as well.
...Fate of fighting games, I guess. It just doesn't sell well.

King of Fighters XIII (PS3) - 21,525
King of Fighters XIII (X360) - 3,655
King of Fighters XIV (PS4) - 20,655
It's a drop of about 5k copies FW (don't know where you got that the sales numbers were better from), I suppose that can be offset by digital (though I'm pretty sure XIII was available digitally).
Like I said, it's 'alright' but not an achievement. And yes, the state of fighting games isn't great at the moment.
Wii U close to PS4, someone better call Johnlucas!
