No. I thought about buying a Neo Geo for Samurai Showdown waaaay back in 93', but even then I would have gotten more out of it than that one game. It was too expensive to justify, and as a teenager, the cost was more than prohibitive, it was insane.

In theory, yes, but such a game doesn't exist yet and probably never will due to extremely high development costs. I don't know exactly what such a game would be like, but in practice it would probably require a lot of high-quality procedural generation. complex interactions in the game, and emergent behaviors and such.

So in practice the answer is no.

A fully fledged home console 3D Pokémon Adventure would be one of the few times where I'd buy a console no matter how many (or few) other interesting games it had.
