Nintendo might have stopped having Splatfests, but that doesn't mean Splatoon is at its end.

           The people at Nintendo still want to build excitement for the game through events such as Splatoon Koshien tournaments, nation-wide Japanese Splatoon tournaments. When asked about a possible sequel, Nogami said that Splatoon has grown with the fans, and they want to continue working with their fans in the event of a possible sequel."

           It's great to see that Splatoon won't be completely dead until the inevitable sequels arrives. I really hope Nintendo will treat other future new IPs the same way, specially if they end up being successful.

Splatoon's been one of the biggest successes of this gen IMO. Both in terms of sales (It outsold a 3D Mario!) and showing that Nintendo has potential in making new IPs.

Oh man, a sequel to Splatoon would be pretty sweet. I'd like to see what new features and improvements they can bring to the game.

As far as I'm concerned, its the best new IP this generation. I look forward to the sequel on NX. Maybe we'll have 6 on 6 battles. That would be fun

I hope they bring split screen MP to the table.

Splatoon and Bloodborne have been the highlights of this generation for me. I don't think anything from last gen matched my love for those two titles.
