A few months ago we learned that AMD is making 3 chips for new consoles and one of them would release this year while the other two next year. It seems that Nintendo has teamed up with Nivida for the Nintendo NX and that Scorpio launches next year so it might use the new custom AMD chips. The Xbox One slim launched this year and I think I heard somewhere that it uses a modified or new AMD chip so if it's true that would mean that the PS4 Neo will launch next year.

So what's in the ps4 slim?

From what the leakers are saying its just a smaller PS4.

Well, I suspect that GT Sport was delayed because they're now making it based on Neo's specs so, it makes sense.

I doubt it's the same 28nm apu in a smaller case, that doesn't make any sense. 33% less volume must come from somewhere.

Yup something must have changed to make it smaller but it probably won't e using an AMD chip because that wouldn't match up with what AMD have said.

Both slim consoles got new apus, that's why they can reduce the price while still turning a profit per unit. There's no telling when exactly the Neo will be out, but the most recent rumors seem to indicate it won't be long. The production has begun for some time, which is why we have these new leaks about the weight of the neo being 4.5 kg.

Now everything is pretty much speculation at this point, so we'll have to wait 1 more week to know for sure. Unless more leaks come up before that
