WTF is going on this year with celebrity deaths? Just one huge star after another it seems...

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

He was a legend. Loved him as Willy Wonka and loved the Mel Brooks films he starred.

Sad, RIP. I must rewatch Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein soon.

This will be the new norm.  Moreso than ever in the history of mankind we "know" more people.  From stars of old shows we used to watch in reruns, to stars that made up our childhood; from old school artists to those that were hip in your generation, there's just more names to know.  TV and radio really expanded the number of people in our collective consciousness and as TV and radio age so do the stars.  Mr. Wilder was 83.  That's a long life.  It sadly won't be long before it seems that every day some mega star is passing away. This doesn't mean anything other than the simple fact that no one lives forever.  I truly expect 2017 to take just as many legends as 2016 did, and 2018 after that.

shall always be one of my favourite actors, from wonker and blazing saddles to movies like the Frisco Kid and see no evil hear no evil. loved just about all his work and have it all in my personal library. RIP!
