There are fewer people posting now so I guess it's worse. Also I'm not a fan of the supporter program.

By far worse, I mainly just lurk as the site doesn't carry the same appeal.

On mobile it has become impossible to visit the website, the karma up/down votes need some work and the website could use some more attention, I don't think its worse but it hasn't improved either. The website needs some love and its got a strong community that I like so I hope they do give it the attention it needs

It's more or less the same. The charts situation is slightly better, but the forums are less active.

Perhaps mods just don't want to invest time anymoew in banning you? Or maybe every site needs its own Rüpel to be active.

I take that as a compliment in regards to my previous accomplishments as a mod. Thank you.

Agree with most of this though they may have been bad for more than 1 year.

Worse functionality: Too often the site won't load and ads on mobile are far too intrusive (I'm using adblocker on PC so I don't know if it's the same).
Worse community: More and more users only seem to post on this site to talk trash about games/consoles/products they don't like and don't own.
Moderations: About the same, I guess? I haven't noticed a big difference here. Well, besides a few mods participating in the trash talking.
Worse sales updates: Even though the numbers were often quite inaccurate I enjoyed the weekly sales updates and the constructive discussions they spawned. We need to go back to having consistent weekly sales updates in order for these to be relevant again. And not with a 2 month delay. The numbers need to be fresh.

I'm still here due to 3 things (basically in the hope of things improving):
Firstly, I still like some of the users (from both the Sony, MS, Ninty and neutral fanbases) even though many have already left the site (I've enjoyed most of my time here but I'll probably leave soon as well).
Secondly, I still like VGC's databases with pretty accurate historical sales numbers even though I don't need an account to access those.
Thirdly, I still hope the functionality will improve with truck's new code and I still hope for a return to weekly updates (latter may be very naive).

It was one thing when the numbers on the front page were not exactly quotable because they are only physical sales and are missing digital data... but now there are just no updates on the numbers, no weekly chart discussions it's just reduced the forums into a endless downward spiral of "maybe the NX will have X" or "what was the first time you spanked it to a video game character" threads, just getting worse and worse with each week.

It shouldn't be that shocking though I mean the basis for discussion on the chartz forums is chartz... without them it just turns to shit imo.

Blame ioi for that. It took him 8 months to put Machina in charge of the SW numbers and even then Machina has to wait for Brett to fix some bugs that appear. Also, let's not even mention that ioi is still in charge of the HW numbers and they get updated monthly now.
