GT7/sport won't sell anywhere close to 10 million. Just watch.

With your Patcher posting skills, based on the Amazon thread posting pattern, that pretty much confirms they will

Hey! One bad month of predictions doesn't mean I'm always wrong. Remember the April 2015 NPD? I was the ONLY one that correctly predicted that once Feb and Mar passed (The Order 1886 and bloodborne releases), the XB1 would win. So take that :P

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Sure, it can. Won't take much more than having the same things going for it as GT5 had. Holiday launch, bundles and a quick price drop.

Yep. It's the most important ip Sony has and we know that people bought it before, no matter what reviews said. It's also the only game that exists since psx and people greatly associate that game with PlayStation.

There will probably be a lot of bundles, as usual.

If GT7 becomes something of a Must-Have again like GT3 was and sets the bar straight again, then I think it will come pretty close to 10m+ in sales. GT Sport won't have that legs, though.

Thats the thing though. Is it a must have? It'll get rave reviews no matter what, but how does it get traction as a must have?

I don't know, man. What would you suggest? I mean ... if it's going to be a Must-Have like every review and hands-on praising it for its credible improvements in nearly every aspect of the game. That includes, of course, such things like physics, graphics, sounds, AI, cars. But also things like career mode, presentation, multiplayer, new modes. The thing is ... the Gran Turismo franchise  most of the time has delivered decent or top-notch quality. It's like that The Last Of Us burden as of late or Metal Gear or Half Life burden in the past - what could you possibly do or hold on to to make a successor better.

GT7 could improve on a lot of things on the PS4 already, but maybe they will use that PS4 Neo to draw some more out of it. Fundamentally, GT7 is potentially able to become the Playstation's biggest IP again in terms of sales and metacritics. But they have to push the envelope again.

Sports wont but GT7 might.

I doubt GT7 releases on PS4, just look at how long GT sports took to develop in the first place.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Im not sure if gt7 can beat gt5 but Im certain it will do at least 10 mil in sales

This, I don't expect Sport to sell as well as a mainline entry would.

I highly doubt it will outsell GT5 numbers let alone GT6 numbers. 2m to 3m seems likely. A lot of gamers thought Uncharted 4 will sell 10+ million on PS4 and so far it doesn’t look like it would break half way. There is too much competition in Racing Sims compared to when GT started.

The numbers VGC has is only for 2.5 months of its sales, and it has it at 3.72m (with digital it has to be well over 4m).

Also Uncharted 4 is still ranked pretty high on many charts when they list sales, I wouldnt be surprised if its undertracked a good bit.

Id put money on if naughtdog gave official sales numbers right now, they would be over 5m for Uncharted 4.

I hope it does it's usual numbers. I don't think the other racing games on PS4 have really sold gangbusters or anything right? So it's not like their existence should rob GT of too many past buyers. Personally, I don't really care where fans get their racing itch scratched, I just like seeing a healthy interest/demand for those games, so if GT suddenly nose dived this gen with no other racing game picking up those sales, that would be pretty sad to me.

Driveclub didn't do that bad but was reduced in price after a short amount of time and thus reappeared in the charts for quite a while.
